the steering and susoension is something ive never expierienced before. backseats were bit small but id rather have them then not. fun to upgrade whether its something engine related or style.if i didnt need to tow and haul things id keep itAug 11, 2013

Nice car with lots of balls. Low to the ground. Great cornering abilities.
Unfortunately parts whether OEM or aftermarket are hard to find for these cars.

This vehicle is a classic Nissan 300ZX sports car. The power and performance speaks for itself. The T-top panels are moveable and fuctions properly without any leaks. Tires are geat and runs really well for a 25yr. old car! Currently being used as a spare care or emergency vehicle. The vehicle is extremely reliable.Mar 06, 2013

There is not one thing I dislike about this car. I have enjoyed 300's since I was young. I hate to part with it, but it's time to move on to the next stage in car ownership. I will miss her greatly.Oct 15, 2011

Love the handling and quickness of the car. For being 24 years old it still gets up and goes really well. The cceleration braking and handling are all very good, thanks to its light weight and relatively-short wheel-base. The only thing I've needed to replace was the slave cylendar.. no big deal. The interior and exterior are both in great shape-- small cracks in the leather on the drivers side door due to the sun, but small and hard to notice. The shape/body style of the car isn't my favorite, but it still looks pretty slicks, especially with the pearly white paint job it's got. It's actually a very reasonable cost of ownership considering it's a sports car; I get 22-27 mpg depending on where I'm driving, and if i can keep my right foot off the floor =) and yes, this car is very fun to drive, it handles well and gets up and goes.. I passed a Porsche today like it was standing still.Apr 29, 2011

This is a decent car and it is a 5 speed standard with a 6 cylinder motor for now i
am going to be putting in a new engine and transmission soon and toss in a turbo i

when I got my Z it did not run. I had to replace the fuel-injectors. I Love to drive my car. I would like to tune it a bit with more power. I need new springs and shocks. I would like to run it at the drags here in Hawaii.. any Ideas?Feb 27, 2011

I think it was actually an 86 Z, but w/e those years are basically the same anyways. This thing was just like any 80s sports car...heavy, ugly, and really not that fast. It was a good door into the Z world however, and thats about where my appreciation for this car lets off. Oct 03, 2009

PERFORMANCE- accel, top end power, handling
Build- its a solid car no complants. its from 1988 its not top noch but I cant complane.
Apperence- Its a slick car :)
Cost- I run super but i get around 31 MPG not a drowback!

classic Z cars are hard to find now adays. beautiful car. only issues with them are rust spots appear in the back of the wheel wells and trans mounts go a lot. other than that, its a piece of history.Jul 21, 2009

Lets see. The fact that it is OBD 1 is both a good thing and a bad thing. One i can tune it to pass emissions but on the other hand i dont have the capabilities of diagnostics like an obdII car. Lets just say the GT35R gets the job done.Apr 08, 2009

Love z31's. They are a great car, one of the best z cars ever made my nissan. My z31 has a RB20det swap, so it is more less of a 200zr, but origiannly being Natuarly aspirated, boost is a whole new nature, and the extra horspepower is nice too. I would recommend one of these cars to anyone who is a nissan, datsun enthusiast.Apr 05, 2009

This was a parts car. I never actually drove it becuse it had a broken rear control arm.
I stripped it for parts, put a few on my '86 300zx and sold the rest on e-bay.
Some crazy dude with a fltbed stopped one day ans asked if he could have the shell so I gave it to him.

I bought this car used from my grandfather, and it was my first car. It was a good running little machine, never had any serious problems. It did have a recall from 1989 which I had done that made the car run far better. The supension was very tight, but the performance was lacking because it was not the turbo and it was 20 years old. I still loved to drive the car, and every where I went, people asked questions about it. It now belongs to my dad.Oct 10, 2008

it was a fantastic car. the response of it was amazing it picked up very quickly and just all around fun to drive. i always recieved a lot of looks with that car because there are not many of them left. the only down side i noticed to it was the engine was a bit of a pain to work on but thats the only problem i had.Aug 30, 2008

Fun, fast, car as long as you only need to carry 2 people in all. T Tops and bells & whistlles were awesome- will definitely have to have one again. Easy to change out roof at a stoplight, though I wouldn't suggest it if your passenger doesn't really know how. Get a bank account set aside for your repairs.Aug 24, 2008

This car is totally rebuild in the interior, extirior. I even changed the Engine it has a 4.3L Chevrolet those its a V6 with high compresion, Everything in this car is HOMEMADE.May 19, 2008
