It's a fun car to drive and zip around in. Looks really nice too.
The good is it is a sporty little car that still looks excellent. The lines on it are modern enough to still be in style. The interior is also very modern and still looks good to today's standards and tastes.
The bad is there are a lot of features and functions crammed into this chassis that make for a very complex car. This is like Nissan's "...and the kitchen sink" design for a sports car with CD player, HiCAS steering, cruise control, programmable climate controls, alarm system, powered seats, power mirrors, and a few other things I am probably forgetting.
The seats are not what you would call comfortable if you are an average to large American Male as they feel tight around the shoulders and rib-cage because of the side bolsters. The steering wheel tends to occlude the controls for headlights and climate and the driver must shift his/her head to the side to adequately see, and some of the repairs are unnecessarily expensive because of design like fuel injectors and alternator.Dec 07, 2014

A breathtaking 0-60, I was typically running around 4.8's! I've beat turboe'd celicas, a modded 05 GT, and a modded 350Z, along with some others. Braking was okay, didn't really notice that whole exemplifcation of the "failing 300ZX brakes" issue, but they could have been improved; I definately felt the difference when I installed Brembos in the front. Handling was great, it gripped like no other car I've driven before. It did have its rattles and squeaks, then again it is a 15+ year old Japanese car, it's no classic Benz. Most parts were quality and well built. Interior was okay, a bit cheap if you ask me. My model didn't have leather seats, and the console was kind of boring, but a built in boost guage was fun, and the temperature/cruise control cluster sticking out is retro-cool. The exterior however has a timeless look with a beautiful finish, a spoiler that only compliments, and a body shape ready for high speed endeavors. The gas was ok, until I had the pedal down then I could actually see the gas guage move. Maintenence is pretty simple considering you can use a NISSAN-1 OBD-1 connector, and that JDM parts are cheap and easy to come by. All and all the car is a blast, and I'll definately be buying another in the future!Apr 12, 2012

I just love driving this car. Its comfortable, sporty and fun. The perfect cure for any man's mid-life crisis. The gas mileage is about 16mpg in town which isnt great, but for a performance sports car, not to bad. All in all it is a wonderful 2nd car for anyone that is looking for a vehicle to jump in, start up, and instantly have an ear to ear grin. Nov 09, 2011

performance wise its not the best, a twin turbo would be the best choice.
acceleration is pretty good for a car that weighs about 4k pounds, brakes go
quickly lol, handling is like a dream. i have heard that the interior looks like the
inside of a full built race car. exterior is well just sexy. gas mileage is about 18 city

In stock form this car is nothing short of brilliant. Incredibly fast and
maneuverable, its a true sports car. The interior is designed to have
everything
within short reach and giving you as much information as possible
without
having to remove your eyes from the road for to long. Z32s were
first put out in
1989 and had almost no exterior changes until they stopped
manufacture in
1999. That being said the styling is now over 20 years old and still
has a
modern, sexy look that competes with many new cars on the road

It's a classic. The 300zx Z32 led the way to a whole new class of
performance cars from Japan. Sleek, fast and great handling set
the tone for others (Supra, RX-7, 3000GT) to follow. The 2+2
NA had good performance but I did an engine swap to the twin

The 300zx its a pretty sweet car, in accelerations, braking, and handling is pretty good. Built quality i bet when they first came out they were the best thing ever, right now they are becoming old cars so in drive shaft and stuff like that they are braking easily since is suck a powerful engine. Appearance in the interior when is the black leather is just nice but some of them came out with a red wine color and some other brown beige that looks just bad haha how ever is a good design inside, and outside with some little touches you can make it a pretty nice car that you can be driving really casual. Cost of Ownership it likes gas a lit bit, but i think is worth it in the way it runs as stock car and maintenance its also nothing out of control its just like owning a normal car but the car looks better than a normal car haha.

Not the fastest car ever but the sound was awsome. Rear wheel drive fun (great in the wet). Pretty well screwed together but would expect that from a Jap motor. It had 18's, was lowered and had a great sounding exhaust (no turbos to interupt the noise).May 10, 2009

The Z32 appeared on the scene in 1990 following a long line of fantastic "Z" vehicles, well known for their performance, appearance, and affordability. This generation 300zx also boasted a twin-turbo version outputting a generous 300HP to the wheels, elevating it to the upper echelon of Japanese sports coupes. Although my Z is over 15 years old, it still runs like a veteran thoroughbred and brings me joy every time I see open, winding curves ahead. This car is amazing. It's like a rocket off the line, and it really settles in around 100 mph. It handles like a dream. The only problem with this car is the cost of maintenance. There's always a trade-off between power and reliability. Overall, most fun I've ever had on 4 wheels.Sep 15, 2008

For a 15 year old car, this thing is a beauty! Its every bit as nice to drive as the newer Nissans or anything else comparable but with out the new car price tag! This car is amazing. I have wanted this car for the last four years and I finally got one. It's performance is amazing. The acceleration is pretty good at about four and a half seconds to 60, it's fast with a top speed of 143 and braking is phenomenal. The body is solid and the under carriage is sturdy also. Minimal rust for a car that is 15 years old. The car gets about 24 miles per gallon and the upkeep is pretty cheap.
The best quality of this car though is that no matter where you go, you can drive it, and not be bored with it. Go and buy one. It will be a great investment. Aug 20, 2008

A classic sports grand tourer that I've customized to add power. It's a bit on the heavy side, but then so am I, so I've added about 120 hp to the base 300. It goes very fast. :-) My only dislikes are that the visibility, especially on the driver's side blind spot is pretty poor, and it's a bit noisy for a road car, even before I added the low-restriction exhaust.Aug 01, 2008

The Most amazing car i ever owned handles like a ferrari, though its an N/A it has loads of power and lives in the upper rpms it also loves the 70-150 roll. The looks rival expesive italian cars and could easily pass for much newer car. overall amazingJul 20, 2008

This car can do it all. It looks beautiful even 19 years after initial production. It takes to modifications very well, it accelerates (much) faster than a Yamaha R6, it corners like a roller coaster on crack, and it grabs attention everywhere I take it. Maybe it's the unobstructed sound of the quad oval B&B, or the Garret GT600's spooling up - followed by the HKS SSQV's releasing all of that pressure, or perhaps it's the hideously cool but o-so-JDM Gold Work wheels? A very well built and researched car. Nissan produces great vehicles in general, and they really put there time into this one. Acceleration even in the NA is still better than most cars, and is way better with the TT. Handling is amazing due to nissan's dual wishbone suspension setup that is unique to this car, and an almost 50/50 weight distribution. Braking is also great with the 4 piston 30mm calipers up front with 11 inch rotors, and 2 piston calipers in the back with 11.7 inch rotors. Interior is A++ for quality and design. Even with the car being 15 years old its still near flawless inside, and the design is very good as well. Ride quality on stock suspension is still good(i like my ride stiff) and not too stiff. Looks go without saying, it looks better than most cars out now and already being considered a classic. I love this car and will own a 300zx of some sort until i die.Apr 12, 2008

Great fun to drive and it has a design that makes it timeless. It's a great car for cruising on a warm summer day or night. Just remove the targa and enjoy. The seats are nice and it fees like you could sit in them for a whole day without any problems.Apr 10, 2008

This Car would of Rocked in its day as it was knick named the Japanesse Ferrari.Its Back wheel drive perfect for drifting and is pretty low to the ground.
Has 300hp with standard turbos which must be updated to get max performance normally costs around $4000 but well worth it.Also has all wheel steering twin exhaust system and gives you the feel of a Bat mobile!Mar 04, 2008
