I bought this vehicle brand new in 1987,I have 23k(original miles),I have many modifications-347ci engine,w/trick flow heads,paxton 8-10 lb supercharger,tko 500(5spd)tranny,4:10 rear,many other mods...approx-473 rwhp..Every suspension mod-upper/lower Control arms,k-member,struts/shocks,exc,exc..This vehicle has been with me for 26 + years,many good memmories..I'm 47 years old,and plan on driving her til I can't drive anymore...Jan 30, 2013

Best car I ever owned. I wish I could find another Mustang with the same qualities. The car was so easy to maintain. Oil changes could be done in 10 minutes or less. Brakes were simple. The mustang was also fantastic on MPG.Nov 02, 2012

an 87 mustang convertible that has a v6 and fuel injected very clean car and everything works. engine needs to be redone the heads are leaking and it was never maintained so it blew its bearings. after i rebuild the engine it will be nice once againDec 09, 2011

great bang for the buck performance at low price many updrage parts on the market lightweight car so great for the quarter mile time and excellent to do burnouts n donuts really good lookin head turner car and what about the sound my god not to hard on gas mileage for the engine size really fun to drive!! i love my mustangOct 19, 2011

this car is very fun throwing heads into the seats and doing as many burnouts as
possible without having to buy more tires i would definetly let alot of my friends

The car was so much fun to drive, the tranny was brand new install when I got it,
but the radiator was at the end of it's life and the body needed some work. Lots of
little tlc needed on the inside as well, except for the stereo which was very loud.

well this has 3.8 V6 umm 2nd owner needs work i wanna rebuild the engine on it everything else is mint except paint is starting to get dingy but it gets around 28 mpg really good but last owners toned it down fuel injected and automaticFeb 09, 2011

has plenty of power. gits a little washy in tight corners.its a gas hog. fun as can be to drive.really a great car.i mean they could have done more with the interior but still a good car.you can go through a set of tires rather quick so be prepared. ummOct 11, 2010

Cost of Ownership - Ha HA...does this include the motor...mods, tires, TURBOS??? Dang...guess so - BAD too expensive...dont get one! LOL JK, wait yeah..less competition at the track. Dont buy one!

I love this car. As far as quality, I think it's amazing. As long as you keep up with basic maintenance, it is bulletproof. And as for fun to drive, stock wise is pretty fun. But slap some 3.73s or 4.10s and it's amazing! Really a first mod that needs to be done type of thing. It'll really wake up the car.Feb 19, 2010

This is one reliable car. I can't kill it, and I have tried, just about every time I have driven it. Nothing major has ever broken on it except for a coolant hose. It is the most powerful vehicle you can buy from under 2K right now.Jan 05, 2010

This is By far the Best Car in my Garage. 5.0 Engine, hatchback, black paint, and its a Mustang. Although over 23 Years old, the engine sounds like new, the car looks new, hell, it still smells like new! Great car, lots of fun. cheap to maintain, unless you modify it like me. Unlimited performance potential, trust me! Gas mileage sucks on mine, 1.5 gallons per quarter mile is a little too rediculous. But it is only for track use.Mar 31, 2009

great pick up vey reliable as long as general maintenace is done transmission is weak link in the drivetrain poor traction in wet or snow I would not recommend this car as a everyday driver defintly only a weekend car or for use in nice weatherDec 31, 2008

a blast to drive and unusual due to 5.0 with 4 speed. was GT with out the tacky badges. Bad side was the 4 speed blew out several times as was designed for much less powerful car. Finally replaced the shift fork with one from a older Mustang and had no more issues with it. Sep 21, 2008

It was a good first car. My dad is a mechanic so he was able to work on it for me when something went wrong. I loved the RWD and still find it easier to drive than FWD. The shocks were going and I could tell it needed new spark plugs. After almost 2 years with it, I had to sell it because my dad moved and the engine kept overheating. I miss it, but I have a more reliable car now.Sep 09, 2008

Back in the day this was an amazing car. It was cool looking, it would do 11 seconds in a quart mile and I had everything in this car except a supercharger. It had custom paint, wheels and you name it. I could race anyone and WIN. Not bad for a chic.Aug 21, 2008

Performance was ok:acceleration,braking and handling were all good. Build quality was good. Appearance was good for the interior and very good for the exterior. Mustang LX is a car that needs lot of gas. I had some problems with the engine but transmission was tough. Was very very fun to drive `cause it a propulsion car.Aug 12, 2008

Not a good year for the 'Stang. The paint peeled, there were all kinds of mechanical problems. The rear differential made loud noises for years, but was too expensive to fix. Overall it was a real dog. But all in all I liked it, because it was still the first car I ever owned, Jul 16, 2008

i had alot of work into mine, the car first had a 2.3L inline 4, that motor is weak, dropped in a old school 302 and a 89 gt trans with rear end in her and i was mesmerized, it was a perfect motor for that car Jun 10, 2008
