This Vet is in descent condition. It handles well but has a lot of rattles. The side-mirror control switch does not work correctly. Also, one of the motors on the drivers seat is broken. All things considered, especially how difficult it can be to find switches, I think the price is too high.Jul 28, 2021

This Vette has been highly modified so you know. The crossfire motor, which I think was not the best , was removed and replaced with a 350 out of a 78. an EZFI Fast Fuel fuel injection system has been installed. The transmission was rebuilt and the motor has been modified. As the vehicle sits now, she has about 400HP and she can move! There's not a lot of extra space, you can certainly feel the road when your driving so if your tushy is sensitive, take another car. If you want a race car that you can drive on the street and you want to be loud while you're doing it then this is a good pick for you.Apr 16, 2015

I love tha car. It is up there in age, however, if you skilled in working on cars, not a problem. I have done most of the rubber seals, reconditioned the top, and tuned the engine up. I also redid the brake system.Apr 15, 2015

old style car with all the new ideas that came out in84, digital dash, crossfire fuel injected LT one, high tourqe low horsepower 350cid. Car performes just as you would think a corvette should. definetly years ahead of vettes before it in comfort and handeling. She runs strong with 25,000 miles on a total rebuild and new R7 tranny,I have enjoyed this car for 8 years now and have had very little trouble with it.I would recommend a C4 to anyone who loves sport cars.Jan 13, 2014

Nothing to dislike, The 84 Corvette is the best looking, best handling, for the money!!!! The Quality talks to you when you drive it.The cross fire fuel injection runs perfect. The C4 handling is the best with rack and pinion steering.
The 4/3 auto transmission is excellent, what more can i say, go buy one!! Check it out! The 1984 Corvette was rated.. Top 10 BEST Corvettes ever built!!Aug 03, 2013

The Z51 suspension is stiff but handles well. The glass top is best for spring and fall. In the summer it lets in too much heat. The hatch back gives a lot more cargo room than you would expect and it is drivable in the winter on winter tires.Aug 01, 2013

The little things does not bother me, but I think , in the long run, it might be a little to heavy on gas to drive as an every day car, I plan on keeping this car for a few months, just because I enjoy driving it. I might sell it , I'll just decide later.Feb 12, 2012

Actually this C-IV Corvette came out as a 1983 ½ model year -- the first major revision coming out of the seventies era C-III. Its handling was so radically stiff that it would beat a Lamborghini Countach on the track. Try driving it very fast on average road surfaces and your kidneys would be hurting (literally)! It was two-tone: metallic bronze and brown, with standard transmission. Because it came with high and low range differential to meet CAFE regulations (regarding gaz guzzler taxation), it had seven speed -- however, at least two of them were redundant. It was extremely fun to drive because the handling limits were so high that it was beyond the psychological limits of nearly all who drove them!Feb 08, 2012

It has it QWERKS! It has a crazy back story, but the engine is strong the body is sleek and sexy, the color is just right? She gets all kinds of looks, when she takes off you can feel her.Oct 19, 2011

It's sporty and gets attention but could use a supercharger :) The handling is tight but loses traction at a moments notice when operating at the cars limits. Causes adrenaline rushes but not always when you expect it to. Otherwise an overall well designed vehicle. Aug 16, 2011

All I have to do is blink and I have passed you!!! Plus it is not a gas hog like many think. Haven't had to make many repairs and it is 26 years old! Not bad for a sports car.Aug 05, 2010

Handles like it's on rails. Being an 84 it's the first year for the C4. This year had super stiff suspension. Fells like a kart. Weight transitions make it kick the rear out like nobody's business. Freakin sweet!
Being a chevy there are tons of go fast parts out there. Nothing like a 6.6 liter harharhar.Mar 24, 2010

This car is just amazing to drive in. The 4+3 manual transmission makes for extremely fast aceleration and great gas mileage(28 highway). There hasnt been too much wrong with this car save for a few things in the 25 years its been in my family. Overall an amazing cruising car.Jul 06, 2009

This is an awsome car to drive. The engine's tourque is amazing. I have a 4+3 manual transmission that works great. I have owned this car for fourteen years and have a little above average maintance on it. This vette handles better than any other car that I have driven. The cross-fire setup has been problem free all of these years.Mar 25, 2009

They are what they are...and they aren't a whole lot. Did everything that GM built in the 80's suck?
My father bought this as his first Corvette. He had been a Vette fan since he was young. A poor choice as his first in my opinion. It's the Vette that anyone can own and everyone does. It's a Camaro on steroids. A far cry from the sleek shark style of the 60s and 70s.
It moves, but not how a Corvette should. Of course it handles better than its predecessors, but what didn't handle better than the muscle cars of the 70's?Jul 31, 2008

the 1984 corvette, the first of this body style, this is my 3rd corvette, I've had a~1969 stingray rag top, & 1979 L82 corvette, these are also awesome car's. I'm having a great experience with My 84 vette, I've own her for about 7~8 years now, it's an awesome car, she's no 2011, LOL and despite her needing paint, some body work, new interior and minor mechanical maintenance. this car is willing to go anywhere anytime anyplace that has asphalt , she's a pleasure to drive, lots of fun, she turns heads, she's not the jealous kind, she doesn't mind if i have a female friend out for a ride {Wink}. and she is a Babe magnet, LOL she loves the highway, great on gas. ALL -n- ALL it's a Corvette!!!, and if it say's Corvette on her, and it looks like a woman shape as a corvette, LOL and it drives like a corvette, and if it makes you feel good because your driving a corvette! then Guess What!!! It's a Corvette!!! LOL .... I recommend any year corvette they just make good times and new friends. Support your local Corvette Clubs. happy Vette trails. Apr 03, 2008

This car is something different, Everyone wants a peice, Still I laugh, can take them but, why spend the effort. I started out hating this car, I can not say the same now, yes it has its problems, they all do, But for the fun one has it is worth it. It leaks, It creaks, find me one other than new that doesnt. the charm of a VETTE. You do get attention in them, low key as it is I did not get the car to be Oct 30, 2006
