1983 Black Honda Civic 1500 "S". Pocket rocket! Rev happy engine, precise 5 speed shifter. Comfortable for long distances in part because of "S" only seats. Averaged 42 MPG for the life of the car. Absolutely reliable, not one problem in 128,000 miles. Still looked and ran like new when I traded it for a Miata. Wish I still had the Honda!Apr 29, 2010

This was the "FE" model hatchback and was the 1st auto to have an EPA highway rating of 55 mpg!
I put about 70,000 miles/year for 3 years - only service work performed - brakes and clutch.
The actual mpg wasn't that far of!!!May 25, 2009

its awsome it keeps on going like the energiser bunny even though cain uses it for pizza delivries.... it just keeps on going. only ever needed to replace the usual crap associated with a car its age, but other than that its good.
At least im not driving a stupid exel anymore, or an ugly ass lunchbox shaped car i think ill kill myself before i own one of them!!!!!!!!!!Feb 16, 2009

1983 Honda civic. it has now 150K and i bought it with 113k 4years ago. I've had to do some small repares on it but other than that it is pretty tip top as far as a 25 year old daily driver goes. what more can i say , it was cheap ,it's cheap to drive and thing still goes and goes.Aug 24, 2008

This car replaced my 1980 postal jeep and gave me a few solid years of service before getting donated to the American Lung society. It was cool to drive a miniature station wagon. It was a blast to drive, yet a little bit scary as I would barrel down route 202 in western mass with a crew of friends crammed in the back like a clown car.Aug 01, 2008

Honda's run forever. There parts aren't terriblely expensive like a BMW. If you treat them with care and keep there fluids clean and topped off they will serve you right. May 20, 2008
