Another disappointment. And I still don't know what all the fuss is about BMWs. This was just a car. Nothing special. Boxy, noisy, and VERY expensive to repair. The car would stall on occasion, leaving me stranded many times. The dealer finally diagnosed the problem - a fuse. Then they wanted to charge me over $200 to replace it. I asked them to point it out, then walked over the parts department and replaced it myself for $40. May 20, 2011

Its a lovely old car. Acceleration is easily topped by a race horse in a straight line, braking is great until the pads fade, handling is great but needs to be lower, and slightly stiffer.
Build quality, 28 years everything still works, go figure.
Appearance, aside from the one 50cent piece dent, and undeground carpark pillar mark, spotless.
Gas milage, 10L/100km (terrible), Maintenance - excellent, most reliable car we have ever had.
This car is definitely fun. Jul 20, 2009

Car was originally BMW 315 (tuned down and cheaper version of 316, if even possible). Fitted it with 2.3L straight six + gearbox from E30. Hot ride in its time ages ago.
Performance was rather good compared to my friends cars at that time. And do I need to mention that straight six sound?Sep 04, 2008
