This was the first car I ever owned/bought myself. I LOVED this car! 351 Windsor 2brl carb that could take out the best of the best off the line. Can't tell you how many times I thoroughly enjoyed taking some hotshot in a newer muscle or sports car at the red lights.
1979 Cougar: $900
Look on smartarses face when I dusted 'em: priceless
Hate that I had to give up that car, but it came down to thousands to fix it (motor, tranny, & rearend finally going - this state gets the best of a vehicle) OR let the dealer give us over a grand (can you believe?!) to trade it in on a newer truck. The latter made more sense...
But if another one should cross my path and I have the means to buy, that baby is mine!Dec 29, 2008

Being all stock the performance is weak, since it was built during the smog era. Very good looking cars, and they ride like a dream.Apr 05, 2008
