If you're a fan of the classic British Sportscar then this impractical and poorly
designed car is for you. It leaves a lot to be desired in terms of handling and won't
out accelerate most modern cars. Driving the Spitfire is shaky, bumpy and
uncomfortable. It is however fun in bundles. Top speed of 105mph and only
70bhp. Oct 26, 2011

I bought this car for $4,500 in 1991 and it sat for many many years. I have fully restored it and added many custom parts including a new carb from PRI Performance Research Industries. The carb is a motorcycle carb on each cylinder and increases performance considerably. My next upgrade is 16 inch performance tires and new suspension also from PRI. If you upgrade this car it performs amazingly and gets more looks than a 911.Jul 11, 2011

The 1500 engine made it entertaining.
Just watch out for swing arm rear end.Jun 27, 2008

a great car for a highschool/college student looking to turn heads and have fun while driving, learn about working and maintaining cars (they always need work). Always an adventure, never a boring ride, grips every turn.Apr 01, 2008
