This is one wonderful lightweight car, it is obvious though that performance wise it isn't a genius. If I had the money I'd for sure go with bigger engine and better gearbox. But I offer performance for the classic look and feel. It's a really enjoyable car once u get the hang of it. Nothing is electronic or computer ran, all pure body to car, no power steering, no power braking, no ABS, nothing. This car has needed quite some repairs, but which car wouldn't at the age of 32? Nothing Major though. Just replacing Brake lines, replacing clutch plate etc. Overall it is one lovely car, just cruising over the streets, cap down, at a descent speed of 60 mph.

performance is suspect but she smells like a real car - all oily and leathery and just gorgeous.

The exhaust manifold was cracked about the egr valve. paper engine cover was repaced with a plastic one. Wife sewed up seat covers. Used it for my commute from oakland to sonoma, daily over an hour drive. did okay, but the clutch seemed funny. lo and behold wasn't the clutch, but a diagonal crack in the crank that made changing gears difficult. Who could have guessed a thing like this. Really fun with a rediculously tight turning radius. Real scary next to 18 wheelers, tire noise is infernal, which you don't realize in a 'civilized' car. cute. expensive to maintain.

Wiring has to be replaced. other than that a blast to drive. Finding reverse was difficult. Wish it had a 5-6 speed. initial cost not bad but parts get pricey in a hurry. can be hard to get in and out of.
