When gas was cheap and I was young(er) I bought my Grandmother's Nova to replace the Nissan I totaled within six months of getting my license... Ah, to be young, indestructible, and know everything. While the Nova wasn't young and didn't know anything, but it was pretty indestructible.Jul 15, 2012

Proverbial "little old lady" car with low mileage and regular maintenance. Base model, no extras. Full size spare tire. Needs new battery, maybe a tune-up. Body in good condition -- might be one or two little dings, but nothing major. No rust.Jun 28, 2011

What I like about this car is that it started out as nothing and my dad and I have built it up to something special. I am always looking to improve it; not make it a hot-rod (there's always somebody with more money and most horse power) but not many people drive a classic for their everyday car. But I do. The appearance is great now that it's been restored. But I haven't seen an original 75-79 Nova that looked very good. They are good to remake. It's not expensive to drive this car. Most parts are easy to find GM stuff, but what is hard to find is cosmetic parts for the 75-79 Novas; but it makes it more rare. The performance is good. It's quick and mean. The top speed is about 120mph and it gets there fast. The gear ratio makes it fun to drive and especially quick in 2nd gear; it jumps from 20-60 very quickly.May 16, 2011

i like the fact that is an old car and it runs good. when i got it it needed very little work and its almost ready to run. im stuck between the decision of fully restoring it or fully customizing it to make it my own,20in rims, custom paint job,454....etc.
the interior in the back(seats and floor) are almost perfect. the front seat need a little work, and the carpet totaly needs replacing, def will b using floor mats until that job gets done
it has a 250cu/in inline 6 engine and is very good on gas...it has a 21 gallon gas tank that takes less than $50 to fill...this is known as chevy's best engine..next is the 502 crate, which im working on getting as soon as i find a 2 door novaOct 14, 2009

The first car I bought when I got my license. I purchased it from my grandmother with 150K miles. It was a basic car, with only two options. A rear window defogger and a 305 V8 small block. From the factory the car had a 2 barrel carb, which I changed to a 4 barrel quadrajet. This car had rear leaf springs, and didn't handle very well however it was durable. When I sold the car it has 250K miles on it. Because of my driving habits it drank fuel. We all have fond memories of our first car, I loved this one.Aug 22, 2009

Car is great. Right now its running on 7 cylinders instead on 8 because its got a busted cam but its still got a lot of balls since its a small block 305. Me and my old man are hoping to upgrade it to a 350 or a 454 in the near future and maybe even taking it to some drags after that. Always get "positive" comments about it.Jul 16, 2008

It was my first car...when I bought it in 1996 it only had 72,000 miles on it. It was in fairly good shape with the exception of being driven in New England and the salt from the roads eating out the trunk and the wheel wells! One of my favorite memories in it was when i crashed into a telephone truck doing about 5mph in Millbury center. The accident bent the hood just enough that if I did more than 50mph after that, the hood would fly open!Dec 26, 2007
