Outside is great but interior horrible because owner replaced original with diamond tuck everything inside drastically reducing cars value. Dealer asking 13k but the way it is, it will take a minimum of 3k to restore it back to factory condition. The way it is the vehicle is only worth 10k and thats being generous. Aug 12, 2020

Have original 350 small block on engine stand. Had custom engine made with all the power bells and whistles. 450 horse power, great condition regarding body and interior. Fun to drive, enjoy taking it to shows in the spring and summer. Last year for the Stingray. Feb 16, 2015

T-tops and posi rear. Tightly rebuilt engine and trans. Power steering. Orange flame color. Superb handling. She is alot of fun and gets alot of attention. Being not a show car she is more practical and more usable. Awesome GO GM!Mar 30, 2014

I all out love this car. The passion that was placed into its design is immaculate, all American, it is gorgeous even in it's current condition. It has leather seats, power windows, AM/FM radio, AC, and more add-on features.Apr 27, 2013

Whats there not to like ? Power, reputation and tons of eye candy.. fun to drive just cruising around. The best part is the little kids that you pass on the street that are used to seeing the same boxy soccer mom haulers drive by.Aug 28, 2012

Performance is awesome. Steers great, great acceleration if you baby it you get good gas mileage. A car that feels like it hugs the corners and a car that makes you relaxed as you drive with the tops off listing to the radio.Mar 25, 2012

I have to part with this treasure of an automobile. I have a hard time getting in and out of it at my age. It is not the most economical vehicle but it is very fun to drive and if you are into being the center of attention then this car will make you famous. :-)Mar 17, 2012

Kul bil med mye power som desverre trenger noe jobb før kan sette seg inn i og kruse :)
Sitter en 350 smal block L-82 motor i den med ca 220 hk og en 350 kasse.
Bilen er faktisk nr match. Nov 08, 2011

It's a very fun car :) it's still 100% percent original and has no major issues! We're the second owners! It has not needed any repairs besides the obvious brakes and stuff. The exterior appearance is excellent. The interior needs to be re-upholstered. Jul 14, 2010

Its loud, and stands out in a crowd! It drinks gas and it is slow as hell. Things break all the time but most parts are cheap. It's a blast to drive, and everybody will want a ride. Word to ur mothaMar 17, 2010

I bought this "StingRay" on a whim because the price was right up my alley...As it is so far I've spent alot of $$$ and I've enjoyed this but I havn't had time to really enjoy the car itself yet because I've been working on it alot to "Bring it back to life". Hopefully before long, I'll be able to get some fun use out of it around the island here.Nov 17, 2009

I love the interior for a 33 year old car it is mint. The gas millage may not be perfect but people know when your coming down the street. This car really makes a bad day go completely Away YEA!!

Doug Brady (Dad) bought the car new in 1976 and it has lasted a long time, it doesn't come out much but it at least it does run. The carvette is kind of a car to show off, not to just drive and get full of bug and junk.Jul 27, 2009

this car is fun to drive but it lacks power compared to the vettes just a couple years before it. it has rubber bumpers instead of chrome (chrome looks way better)it isnt worth as much. its a good car but not as cool as the 69-72's. = d Sep 22, 2008

The ONLY thing wrong with the car was getting stuck to the leather seats. Such a great ride. You can feel the road but not the potholes. And the handling was unbelievable.Jul 08, 2008

this car was friggin awesome! i was like 14 when i drove it. needless to say, i've been dreaming about that ride ever since. the acceleration was great and it could do a burnout for ever! it was an auto so that kinda sucked, but i wouldn't have been able to drive a stick anyways. oh how i wish i could go back in timeJun 28, 2008

Has a 350 racing engine, with edelbrock performer manifold, hooker headers, flowmaster 40's with a custom exhaust, pushing around 375 hp. swapped a 700r4 tranny into it, custom front and rear bumpers off an 80 vette, molded the bumpers in to body with no seam, shaved emblems, door handles, luggage rack and mirrors, custom silver with blue pearl paint, and silver and blue interiorMay 14, 2008

me and my grandpa bought this vette and restored it ourselves. overall it took us around a year or so to do the whole car. we striprd all the paint and added fibrglass front and rear bumpers. we painted the car orange flame, which is a factory color for this model vette. we built a 350 engine for the car. the motor has been bored, and has roller rocker arms, larger valves in the heads, and we put a big cam in it to. the car runs good, but the automatic trans and the 3.08 rear end gears dont give it the acceleration it needs.Feb 24, 2008

This is a 1976 Stingray with the L48 engine (350 V8) and the 3-speed automatic tranny. It is painted poppy orange which i think looks pretty good on it. I love this style of Vette but I would rather have a late sixties or early seventies model because they have more power. Feb 11, 2008

I currently own my 2nd '76 Vette. I wish I'd kept my first, but I am contented with the one I have now. Probably the best thing about these cars is how easy they are to fix. A Haynes manual and an assembly book cover most of what goes wrong.
I think most people expect the car to last by doing nothing, but a little maintenance every once in awhile goes a long way. There are three things (IMHO) that you should keep working, no matter what: the headlight operation, the gauges, and most importantly, the A/C. Aside from the styling, these are the most unique parts of the car. Nearly every muscle car of this era struggles with interior comfort, but the Corvette AC unit does as good a job as most current vehicles.
Most parts and maintenance items are on the shelf, and eBay keeps hard-to-find items available if not found locally.
Lastly, I like these cars for DRIVING, not storing. I laugh when I go to a car show and see trailer queens being rolled out. I realize and respect cars of such caliber, but they're not for me. Give me a ground-pounding, rail-cornering 'Vette any day and you'll have people staring as much as any showroom quality model.Jan 06, 2008

This car has 88,000 miles on it. I am the second owner and pretty clueless when it comes to maintenance. I change the oil on occasion and replace the gaskets when needed. Everything else I leave to the mechanics [although that is a very rare - 1x/5yrs? event]. Regardless, the old beast starts up the first time, every time. Absolutely amazing engine.Jul 08, 2007
