My 74' had the super beetle motor, so performance was pretty good for a Volkswagon. I loved how it handled. My parents lived in Orofino, ID, and I used to drive scenic and twisty Hwy 12. The Ghia was always great fun on a road like that. Alas, my brother put it in a ditch and I sold it to someone who promised to lovingly restore it.Jun 15, 2009

Complete restoration project. Will be a mild custom when finished. Clean & solid body & chassis. 2180cc dual-carbed engine, lowered suspension with drop spindles, unique 15" alloy wheels, stock body in original VW Phoenix Red paint. Should be an awesome ride when I finish it.Jan 26, 2009
