I like everything about this car. Its 41 years old and still looks fantastic! Its a very beautiful car and runs great! You would have a hard time finding another one in this good of shape! I only wish it had the 4 speed in it!Jul 04, 2014

Very Rare Corvette I owned and sold in 2010. Convertible 4 speed combination. This car looked stock but 406-400 hp livened it up. I also currently own a C5 Vert. This car only 3400 or so out of 37,000 were produced. Last true dual exhaust no cats. Very fast car. Not a car you see everyday and was a neat car to have.Apr 18, 2011

Love driving this car, even though it is modified, still gets a lot of "thumbs up". Handling is pretty good, I have replaced the weather strips around the windows and on the T Tops, but still get some leakage during a heavy rain-everall -a Fun car to driveApr 17, 2011

Performance - Well what can u expect from a big block 454 engine. A shame its
not manual tho...
Build Quality - Well the body work is good since is fiber glass, doesent rust. And
the americans are known to make reliable engines.
Appearence - Look at the photo. Do i have to say more? Sound is awesome.
Cost of Ownership - Well its not the cheapest car to run but i dont pay taxes
and MOT once every 2 years.
Fun Factor- U might hate american cars before u drove it, but once u drove my
baby youd change your mind.Jul 12, 2010

Performance: Its 34 years old, it was good for its day (L82 350/TH400 Trans)
Build Quality: Ok for back then, not so good now
Appearance: Who cannot forget the Stingray shape
Cost Of Ownership: Alot. 13 mpg on a good day, 7-9 if you keep you foot into it
Fun Factor: Come on its a vette :) Apr 01, 2010

Well there is everything to love about this car, built in 1974 and still looks stylish till this day. My car is currently a project car and is in no shape to run, it is still a good looking and sounding car when it worked.Oct 06, 2009

What's not to say? Everyone has their favorite car - this is mine. When I picked it up - the body and handling was a little rough - but the motor. The motor was well-built. The previous owner had dumped about $5k into it. 350 small block - but bored, polished, all the good stuff. In the end a 383 Stroker. Damn I miss that carNov 23, 2008

It scooted along much better after dropping a rebuilt, blue-printed/balanced, 4-bolt main, slant plug head, small block in there. Other goodies added: Holley double-pumper, Hooker headers/side pipes, American Racing five-spoke wheels, remote/dual oil filter, Edelbrock intake, Turbo 400 transmission (with B&M shift kit), NOS (for a while), Elgin camshaft, TRW triple valve springs, etc, etc, etc. Apr 03, 2008

This pic is before a total ground up restoration with $83,000.00 invested. It has a new 383 stroker with 425hp/450lb. torque. It's fed by a 750 double pumper Holley. Ceramic headers & 2.5" exhoust take away the leftovers. The engine is all chromed. The interior is completely redone. It has a 400turbo tranny with a shift kit.Mar 20, 2008

It is under restoration...hence the low appearance and reliability rating.Mar 15, 2008

L-82 & M-21 close ratio 4 speed with 3.55 rear gear is perfect power for Calif. highways and back roads. Starting out in first you have to slip clutch a little for a smooth start 3.70 rear gear would have helped. Z-07 package make the suspension stiff when new but after 40,000 on car its broken in very nice. (better ride over pot hole roads) Brake pads were very cold blooded and talked a lot. At 10.000mi went with carbon fiber. Dusty but much better for street use. Also went dot 5 brake fluid when it came out. Calipers went 75,000mi till SS calipers were needed. The Wife still sits on a small pillow. Seats were not for comfort, Now we are in our 50s 2hour ride is all our backs can take. If your in the Napa Valley wine tasting and see a yellow 74 roadster, wave hi, that will be us. Feb 02, 2008

I have owned my L82 auto for about 13 years now. This has been a great car with plenty of power and looks. The engine does need a rebuild soon. It even still has the original front and rear bumpers still attached, they may not look the best. This car is Bright Yellow with the custom black leather interior, AC, rear window defroster, map light, tilt tele wheel, power brakes. I did upgrade to Bilstein shocks which made a big difference in handling. Great car that I plan to keep for a long time to come. Sep 25, 2007

I bought my L-82 about 1 yr ago, I bought it more for a play around car. Since the original motor was missing, I figured I could play a bit. I built a 358, which the bottom end will hold up to 1200 hp. Just pump gas its putting out about 525 hp, 510 lb of torque. It my get a boost eventually, but I do not think the car will handle it. Until I can find an original block, let have a little fun.Feb 20, 2007
