The straight six stock engine for this car is more then enough power to move this classic beast. Pose rear end is great for chirping tires around corners.
I clobbered a telephone pole coming around a corner just after it rained and walked away alive and without more then a few scratches on the body.Jul 02, 2012

I've always loved the looks of the Chevy Nova... ever since my high school days! Pros are style, performance, comfort and easy to maintain. The cons are few but include poor fuel economy and of course, some repairs are costly.Feb 15, 2012

This car is a less known muscle car but is a great part of history incredibly fast and great acceleration. Runs like a Swiss watch. looks absolutely breath taking. gas mileage is not a good thing but it works and maintenance is really cheap and easy and is just the funnest thing in the world.Feb 04, 2012

My Car is a 1973 Nova. It is fast and accelerates really quickly. It sounds nice and
loud. It is currently has black primer on it. It will soon be red when I am done with
all of the body work. I love this car it is everything I like about cars.Dec 10, 2010

There isn't much not to like about this great piece of American history. I enjoy all of it in it's entirety. From the exterior to the interior. for it being stock all but the engine and struts. This car has all it's original parts. I also have the original engine but I plan on rebuilding it. I call this car the HULK because of how loud it is. If you heard it once it would set off all car alarms in a 5 block radiance. So if you have any questions just ask. But know this the car is not for sale.Jun 22, 2010

1973 Nova Custom - Originally a 350 2bbl car, now sports a 406SBC, TH350 and 3.42 Posi 8.5 Rear end.
Interior is mostly ALL original except the front bench. Still have the original benchseat, frame needs fixing.
Cost - Where do I begin ...
Fun - YOU BET!!Sep 30, 2009

My 1973 nova is in nice condition at 36 years. It is a classic muscle car that gets alot of attention on the street. The hatchback two door style gives it a racy fast look. This car can go fast, and it is powerful, interior is a little musty but when it is fully restored it will be the boss of the streets. Aug 19, 2009

A Hot Rod all the way. Everything a 16 yr old guy could want. Big motor, loud, had a bench seat (pull my girl close), 5-point racing harness seat belt, and nothing in it but a radio. I loved this car. I hated having to sell it, but on to more gas saving things, right? 350, bored to 383, 750cfm Holley Double-pumper, Hooker Headers, Thrushered exhaust w/ Flowmaster mufflers, Jacked up rear end, 70 up front, 60's in the back, 3/4 Cam....pure joy.Aug 18, 2009

What more is therer to say??? It's mine! But if I have to say more about the car, I can tell you that the motor is Pink because I was told that could not be done. Her name is Sanity and powered by a 350 heart beat.
I have had this car since I graduated from High School and that is many many years ago.....Dec 03, 2008

This was my first car. I bought it used in 77. As with most cars in canada it suffered from "RUST", but not too bad. It was a great little car with an in-line 6 cylinder 250. Mountains of room in the engine bay to work on the motor. No fancy electronic ignition, fuel injection, or computers to worry about. It was an easy car for a back yard mechanic. Although these pics are not of my car, it is the same year and colour and mine. I didn't have the traction bars though.Jun 12, 2008

Standard Nova. This is not every guy's dad's Nova with the fake SS badge. I took out a totally restored 1973 Nova with what was either a rebuilt 250 I6 or 307 V8 from another Nova. Either way it doesn't really matter. The car wasn't particularly fast or impressive- but I liked it much better than most other cars from this time period because it isn't a hulking monster. It's like the Honda Civic of 1973... and I kind of think that is awesome. Sure, I love Mopar B-Bodies that are about the size of Jupiter... but there is something about a little Nova that makes you feel cool.Mar 11, 2008
