My first car! Bought as a rolling wreck from a colleague in a garage I worked in, it was slowly restored to a useable condidtion by me and my Dad.
Fun to drive, painfully slow and noisy, so I thought fitting a twin carb 1098cc inlet manifold would improve things. It did. It improved the noise (louder) and the rate it drank fuel (more) and wasnt any quicker!
Still, I did manage to get 12 girls in it once......happy days!Mar 28, 2009

This car may not be fast, but it is very quick. While not big on power, it thrills in the twisties, gripping the road like nothing else. While expensive to maintain (classics usually are), the benefits are absolutely worth it. A blast to drive, and perfect for the city, where parking is scarce and gas is expensive.Oct 11, 2008

It's a 35 year old mini - what do you think?! It goes when it want to and not when it doesn't, it leaks water - when it wants to, and it's the vilest colour! But she sounds as sweet as anything, handles like a dream and gets much more attention than me - and I love her!Sep 23, 2008

You know that tortured whine from 4 weddings and a Funeral where Hugh is driving Charlotte Colemans minie too fast? That was what they really sounded like!Jan 02, 2008
