This is a 2 seater car that was way ahead of its time. Many manufactures
attempted to copy. In line 6, 4 speed, independent suspension. This car
just looks great stopped or moving, handles like a dream. The car is 40
years old. Mine is by no means a perfect car, looks better from afar as it
needs some attention.. but its 40 years old..Apr 18, 2012

The first generation zcar has always been one of my favorite cars to drive, easy to work on and its pretty easy to obtain aftermarket performance parts for this car, the engine for the 240z is a inline 6 cyclinder which makes it a perfect candidate for turbocharging and other engine mods, the only weakness that i have ever incountered with 240z's is rust, and if they are not properly stored in a garage or covered with a real good car cover you will and up with a real rust problem on the body, other then that these cars are great and they look real sharp and they are increasing in value very fast, so if you can find yourself a older 240z with with a decent body you will be in good shape.

Still being upgraded! Body is cherry and the color is RAD. Performs like, well you know-Awesome! This is an antique, so it's not bad to fill, but Sucks up the power! She is totally fun to drive! Gotta get one!Dec 12, 2010

The car is old thus, old school performance. however, easily rectified with a
modern engine swap. This car in my opinion is one of the most beautiful and
timeless cars ever made. It was my "first" car that I bought myself and I will likely
have it forever. Aug 26, 2010

Cornering is wonderful. Speed is great until you get over 100 mph then it gets light in the front end. Steering is unforgiving so you have to keep both hands on the wheel and your eyes on the road for you can end up in the ditch pretty quick. Could use more sound insulation. Aug 20, 2010

this is my first car - got it without telling my parents ... drivers ed instructor hated me (I drove to his class without a lisc) ... I learned to drive a stick in this car (with Rico) ... a true Japanese Classic car if there ever was one ... Dec 12, 2009

The coolest car ever made. My favorite since I was 10. Mine is a 72 with a build date of 9/71. I purchased Kikka from the original owner in 2005. She currently has 296,000 miles on the original engine and tranny. She is the original color, but the second repaint. I have lowered the Z with Eibach progressive rate springs and Tokico HP struts with polurethane bushings all around. I've also installed 16x7 gunmetal grey Panasports with Dunlop tires. Also installed Z therapy SU's in '08. I also installed a Clarion CD/MP3/WMA player w/ music catcher and replaced the 4" Pioneer speakers the PO installed in the doors with 4" Clarions... good for now but will intall 6x9's in a custom box in the hatch. It runs. It has 4 wheels, 2 doors and can't find replacement parts.

the car itself is a great car but everything for it is soo damm expensive. but in the end you gotta pay to play and its worth it. i love the car. its just hard to find one with little to "no rust".Jun 19, 2008

can't really review the car as it wasn't stock or new. Dual webbers were certainly a challenge. 240 was low on power, but I liked the styling the best until the 300z 2nd gen and 350z. I wish I still owned this car.Jun 07, 2008

My '72 Z is more than just a Z. its a 550hp beast that can take on a 2007 Dodge Viper or a Z06 Corvette.when i got it it had a beat up body, rust everyware,Stock motor,WHITE WALL TIRES,Matte orange paint and no interior.look at it now, my work of art and i have more for it on the wayMay 07, 2008

Great car that I always meant to restore but never got to it. I had this for quite a few years. Always read about 240Z's and finally got one. It was pretty worn out when I got it. Very reliable but had some floorpan surface rust from a window leak I never was able to fix. It had the usual rust in the lower rear quarter panels that I didn't know about when I bought it. The rear hatch leaked exhaust fumes, the seats were worn out but I still loved the car. Great date car as it was easy to hold your g-friends hand while driving since you were so close. Handled pretty good. I never did any suspension work so it was pretty worn out. I have fond memories of driving over 17 and listening to the sound of the exhaust from the straight 6. If I ran it up in rpm's in 3rd and shifted I'd get flames out the back which was cool. Feb 01, 2008
