Rally Nova orange with the white racing stripes. It performed like a good rear wheel drive car should. Excellent for spinning donuts in an iced over parking lot, necking with a hot date at the drive in theater, or just for the cool factorMar 19, 2011

Nice body lines but was produced in really ugly colors like olive green; Quarter panels and rear frame rot out on all of them, especially in PA; uni-body frame design was horrible and twists easily with a little torque; but not to worry if you had the slant-6 which was great, could beat it to death and run it without oil and it would never die, just try doing that today!Nov 23, 2010

when i got this car it was to rebuild it. after the rebuild we put a 454 four on the floor, with a 700r4 tranny with a full racing shift kit in it. it was my first car. it would do any thing you asked it to and would stop on a dime. paint was custom. it didnt get crap for mileage though.it was a hell of a fun ride to scare the neibhors with when i cranked it up in the mornins though. it did need a lot of work to keep her on the road.Jun 26, 2010

I love this bodystyle, and this is the last year for it. Drastic changes for safety and emissions made the later nova less desireable. The 72 has good acceleration, but corners a bit loosely. There are few Novas left in stock condition, though. Plenty of bolt ons available in the aftermarket.Apr 10, 2010

This is the 1972 Nova that my father and I rebuilt. It has a built 350 bored to a 355 and a TH-350 transmission. Its a weeked warrior and just a BLAST to drive. Has run 12.6 in the 1/4 mile.Jan 02, 2010

I purchased about 2 months ago and have changed a few things already. Installed 3 in. exhaust with headers and Flowmaster 40 series Delta Flows. Swithced out the stock points ignition with a Electronic one with a CDI box. It's currently the stock 350 thats been rebuilt with a mild cam and aluminum intake. Over winter it's coming out and getting a bigger cam, intake, carb., and a set of nice 202 heads. The car was brought to Wisconsin 2 years ago from California, which is awesome, because there is absolutely no rust anywhere, not even a flake of surface rust on the under carriage. Having fun with it, and hopefully not getting into to much trouble.Oct 06, 2009

This was my first car my dad bought me from a little old lady that barely drove it. It had a straight six engine, which had plenty of power and was a hardy engine, except for some carburetor problems, it ran great. I miss this car and wish I still had it.Aug 22, 2009

1972 Nova SS, 350, Black w/ red racing stripes,
dual exhaust with bypass caps. Runs like a champ,
new carb, new tires. Cost a little to fix the rear
suspension , but great car. Appearance, gets looks
from everyone, everyone wants it, everyone loves it.
Fun factor, MY GOD is screams, its nothing like my
sentra, you put you foot in the throttle and it just
yells, loudest car to be in, big stero, big tires, great
piece of work.
Gets 14 city, 20 road mpg, cost me 9500 bucks,
great car, awesome investment. I cant find the
argument for the same 9500 bucks i would of
spent on a 1998 accord, or 2000 corolla. Jul 02, 2009

Its a quarter mile car. I built it from the ground up. Has 525 hp and a flat torque curve of 475+ right to 5500 rpm. Cost a years wages to build. A blast to drive and gets a lot of attention at stop lights. Jan 11, 2009

Built as part of a Father/Son Project, I get this one and he gets the '70 Chevelle. It has a 355sbc, TH400 Tranny, all the goodies (too much to list). Let's just say Jeg's, Holley, and Edelbrock love us. It runs a 12.5 in the 1/4 at our local dragstrip, but is still street legal and runs on pump gas. But it has no backseat. As my dad was a GM mechanic forever, It was built right! It has disc brakes all around and doesn't weigh much, so it stops pretty good. It is in primer, so it's ugly as can be, but I kind of like that...Jan 06, 2009

I like how the front end and the headlights go together and the rear end. It looks very sleek and is much smaller than the typical muscle cars like the Chevelles and Camaros. It came stock with a 350 small block but i pulled it out and I am putting a 454 bored 100 over with corvette high performance heads and a tunnel ram.Sep 22, 2008

My car has a supercharger in it. It is a Super Sport and runs a quarter mile in 4 Flat! Doesn't squeek or radle. Gets 20 miles to a gallon on Alcohol. This car is a blast to drive if you can handle it! This car needs nothing! Interior is black and exterior is Candy Apple red and Gold sparkles!
I would recommend a Nova SS but not this one b/c it is hard to handle! It is street leagual!Jul 03, 2008

Of all the cars that I've owned, this is by far the most satisfying. From the bored out 454 to
the nostalgic bench seat I love every thing about this car.Mar 04, 2008

I drove the car for 2 years while collecting all of the parts to do the job. I planned to do all of the work at once but had a job change while in school and no longer had the funds to support the project; I fell the need to abort and sell the car and all of its parts. This was unfortunate, that car would have been amazing and I was about half way through the project already. I had built a 350 to 400 hp and I had a 4 speed Muncie "Rockcrusher" trans which I believe is what Yenko put in there. I also had half of the garage filled with other various parts for the conversion.
Well, I've always wanted to build an old muscle car like that and one day I'll be in a better possition to do so. Maybe I'll do a Nova or maybe something else.Jan 26, 2008
