It's a fun car to drive, but to restore is another story, Parts are expensive and setting up the rear suspension can be tricky. If your going to restore one of these DO YOUR HOMEWORK, These cars take more attention to detail than most but if you have the patience and not afraid to work with fiberglass then do it to it, it's well worth the effort when it's done.Apr 20, 2015

This was a great restoration project. Everything replaced or restored. The only think not working is the air conditioning and that's because after 3 years of restoring, when i finally got to drive it, I stopped working on it. I didn't need the air conditioning because I never drive it with the top up or the hard top on.
Runs great and drives great. While I haven't been on any long rode trips I would not have any feat on taking this car cross country.Jan 12, 2014

This car has a 350ci. 375 hp. Vortec 4 speed with 4.11 gears with OBX headers with side pipes. I paid $800.00 for this car as you see it W/O side pipes it is an LT1 with factory A/C
YES one of 240 Built with factory A/C. I have done repairs as it sat for 3 years added new carpet and some say it should be repainted as sun damaged the top part of car. I say it
gives it that true Barn Find Rustic Look besides paint doesn't make it fast, BUT !! The 383 460 hp. Stroker with a T56 6 speed will !!!!! This car is a BLAST to Drive !!!!Sep 04, 2013

Good overall car for your first Corvette as they are the lowest cost units to rebuild or repair. The late 60's to early 70's body style had chrome front bumpers front and rear which were known to take a "hit" in just garage parking never mind anything else, so to have an original mounted set with no rust and undamaged was rare. This is great week-end fun car, not a good car for long trips. I get a lot of thumbs up with this one because of the old school look and the sound and power of the fastburn 385 crate motor.

I bought this car when I turned 25 and my insurance rates dropped. Planned to keep it a couple of years. 41 years later, I STILL HAVE IT, and I've bought 12 more since - plus the 2014 C-7 I have on order.Apr 16, 2013

Get one they are great!! i have owned the car since 1992 and it has served as a on and off project in the past years. It has helped me make numerous friends and win numerous car shows. I would recommend this car to any one looking to purchase a older corvette. Jan 21, 2013

Quick and powerful but anything but a straight line is stretching it lol. Very sleek and stylish. Gas mileage isn't good, but it's expected with older sports cars. The car is extremely fun to drive around. Definitely a true classic.May 16, 2012

350/370 hp, TH400, ragtop, tell me whats not to like? The looks I get when I am cruising. Man, this car rocks! I know the tech aspect isnt what a new Vette is, but I do most all work myself. can you say that about your 2002?Jun 11, 2010

Amazing car so far. So glad I got a 4 speed, way more fun! Near perfect condition. Needs to be painted black and side pipes are in the future. 350 small block leaves you wanting more power ... but that will come.Dec 09, 2009

Ummm...do I need to say more. This car has been my baby since I was like eight. It still needs a lot of work though and when its done it'll be a show stopper for sure. It was also the last year for crome.Dec 05, 2009

I love everything about this car, the styling, the performance and the busted knuckles I've gotten working on it. It's American! It'll last forever and it's faster than most ALL cars out there, especially Mustangs!
It fits me like a glove, drives like it's on rails and is faster than Mustangs. Did I say it was fast?Sep 15, 2008

I love my car more than people love their children. She's my baby. I bought her from my cousin as a college graduation present to myself and I've been working on her ever since. She's a blast to drive! Since she is older she does require frequent maintenence but I knew what I was getting in to. She's a classic! ;)Aug 06, 2008

Happiness is a red Corvette, and the sun will shine wherever you are...
No place for luggage, lousy milage per gallon, terrible tireware(hmm might be caused by driver), handeling on track like a babystroller with a flat tire, but still; the most fun I´ve ever had on four wheels!! Jul 29, 2008

I love the overall look of this car, but as you can see, it is far from road worthy. I just recently purchased an engine for it and will probably be bringing it out to school in the near future to start the restoration.May 02, 2008

This car came into the shop for some general service. Overall not bad, but it did show some signs of the age of the vehicle. In general old Vettes like this one ride poorly. It's not horrible considering your butt is about a foot off the ground though.Apr 15, 2008

It's fast and quite comfortable. It has the original interior and paint. Very quiet when driving. Excellent Corvette, for being 35 years of age.... Jul 11, 2007
