The white center on the leather seats looks contrived in my opinion, hence the4 and not a full 5 rating. May 08, 2023

Great Car 350CI/350HP engine, T-top, 4 speed manual trans, good power great handling. The old saying "see the USA in your Chevrolet" differently applies to this car. Never had a bad monument just fun fun. This is the third Corvette I have owned 56, 78 and the 71 and by far the 71 has been the best. Dec 23, 2014

Growing up with my mother's '71, I always wanted to have one of my own! It's a tank to drive due to both manual tranny and steering, but it is fun, none-the-less, with or without the T-tops! It doesn't get very good gas mileage, maybe in part to my heavy right foot, but the looks, stares and thumb's up I get is worth all the gas I go through! It's got a 350 in it, along with a 4 speed tranny and stiff clutch, all of which prove that this is a true sports car. Steel City Grey is the original color and has been repainted once. The luggage rack on the rear deck is an original factory option and the rims are also original. I love it and will probably pass it down to my nephew when time comes to keep the car in the family!Mar 17, 2011

Great piece of American Muscle heritage.

our 1971 vette has a smooth performance. The vette is original and hasnt ever needed any big repairs. It is very rare because it has both red interior and exterior. Not sure about the mileage. the car is very fun to drive. the best thing is when you go around curves going about 50 the car feels that if the gravity has no more control of it.Jan 23, 2010

My family found this thing for $16,000 this past fall. It's a family-owned car, though it doesn't get driven all that much. It would be way too expensive to insure for general driving, so there has to be a limited-mileage policy to keep it reasonable. That's the only reason it doesn't get a perfect 5/5: it's a good Sunday, show, or fancy date car, but would you want to drive it to Safeway and park it in the lot with all the other cars?
Full leather interior, slim steering wheel, removable T-top, even the fiber-optics work, letting you know if all your taillights are functional.Mar 28, 2008

This thing passed everything but gas stations and caught fire more than once...but it was all worth the ride. The LS-5 with 454 power and turbo 400 automatic was ground shattering. However, it provided a little too much torque for the frame to handle.Feb 10, 2008

Bought it with 6,000 miles on it. Drove it til 99,000 miles. never had to change a valve cover. Engine remained untouched except for oil changes, spark plugs and wires and air filters. A few wheel bearings, u-joints (both a pain in the rear), and a little trans work and a hole in the pumpkin were real learning experiences but I wouldn't trade the enjoyment of driving that beauty and the looks I got for any amount of work I had to put in. Bridgehampton Blue with both tops. Loved it.Jan 23, 2007
