I drove this car as a teenager and it was typical of the poor engineering of US cars of that time. Sloppy steering, poor weight distribution and a mercurial carburetor which was easy to flood. I drove it again in my early twenties when I had the mixed blessing of inheriting it from my Dad. I did get it to 100 mph (give or take 10 because the speed gauge would shake) but overall I suffer from no nostalgia for the crap Detroit made back then.Sep 10, 2009

Drives like a big smooth boat on water... More power than anyone else on the road around me and way more style! Perfect for the drive in or a cruise to the beach with 6 or 7 of your closest friends.May 13, 2009

I miss my green 1970 Ford LTD Brougham. One of the best cars ever made. They should make solid cars like this one again. Liked that the driver controlled the radio. The vacuum hideaway headlamps, and that regal looking grille.Apr 15, 2009

It was the largest car my father could find to put me in. It was like bringing the Queen Mary into dry dock. It had an engine you couldn't kill and I could beat every car in the neighborhood. At he local track I was always first off the line. Horrible on gas, easy to fix and maintain, no computer chips or boards.Aug 12, 2008
