This was my college car, after throwing the rod thru the bottom of the 55. After getting hit I found a wrecking yard who would repair the dents and paint it this awesome orange! We had a VW club in college and used to do rally's. It would be down to second gear going up hill but it would go like hell downhill... 36 hp.Feb 21, 2010

I love it....its easy, fun and enjoyable to drive.....it would never let you down...small engine, fair brakes, nice interior, beautiful design...simply a state of the art..................... It runs .....runs..... runs.....runs....runs....runs....runs..... and runs.Sep 24, 2009

The care was fuel efficiant (naturally). It was easy to maintain and well built. Acceleration, braking, and handling were excellent for the size car it was. We had a lot of fun driving this car in town and out on country roads. It did remarkably well on the hills of eastern Kansas.Sep 05, 2008
