Why Does My Truck Jolt Forward Going Into Second Gear?

I have a 02 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT V8 4.6 and when I'm stopped at a light and then go it's fine for a few seconds then jolts to go into second gear. What's going on? Does something need to be fixed?
