The compact EV crossover market continues to grow more crowded, and for 2025, Swedish brand Volvo’s entry is the EX40. It was previously known as the Volvo XC40 Recharge, but it gets a new name as part of Volvo’s effort to help customers more easily differentiate between its gas and electric models. Whatever it’s called, this electric SUV still possesses quintessentially Volvo features such as a comfortable and quiet interior, great ride quality, stylish looks, and an emphasis on safety.
