New Nissan Pathfinder for Sale near Parkhill, ON

How much does the Nissan Pathfinder cost in today's market?

Used Nissan Pathfinder prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

The Nissan Pathfinder's current nationwide average price is $29,283 CAD, and its lowest point over the past year was $28,150 CAD. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Nissan Pathfinder a good car?

Yes — the Nissan Pathfinder is a strong used pick if you want a spacious, family-friendly three-row SUV with broad appeal. The all-generations owner rating is 4.39/5 across every model year in the data.

Owners repeatedly praise its roomy cabin, comfortable seating, and versatile character, along with strong performance for family use and outdoor trips. Reviewers also highlight the sound system and the Pathfinder’s easy-to-live-with layout, especially in models that balance comfort with useful tech.

Expert reviews rate the 2022 and 2023 models among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs centre on fuel economy, which is a recurring weak point, along with a powertrain that can feel sluggish in newer versions and a Rock Creek trim that leans more toward appearance than capability. Some shoppers may also want to pay close attention to ride quality and transmission behaviour depending on the model year.

32.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Nissan Pathfinder models reliable?

Owners and experts consistently point to the Pathfinder’s spacious cabin, comfortable seating, and versatile family-hauling character as major strengths. Across the lineup, reviews also repeatedly mention strong everyday usability and a smooth, easygoing driving experience.

• Owners rate the Nissan Pathfinder between 3.88 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk is most worth watching in earlier model years with transmission concerns, so a careful test drive and maintenance review matter.

What should I look for when buying a used Nissan Pathfinder?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: Fuel economy reaches a Natural Resources Canada-estimated 11.8 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 9.6 highway, and 10.8 combined for Platinum models. The Rock Creek is estimated at 12 L/100 km city, 10.2 highway, and 11.2 combined.

Which Nissan Pathfinder trim should I buy?

The 2026 Nissan Pathfinder offers these trims:

• Rock Creek: This trim adds the rugged-themed look, Toyo Open Country A/T III all-terrain tyres, and the towing capacity that reaches up to 2,720 kilograms; it suits buyers who want the most distinctive appearance and capability-focused hardware in the lineup.
• Platinum: This is the best-value trim if you want the most upscale Pathfinder experience, with semi-aniline leather, diamond stitching, a head-up display, a 13-speaker Bose audio system, and the strongest mix of comfort and technology.

What Nissan Pathfinder do most buyers choose?

The Nissan Pathfinder years with the most listings are 2023, 2024, and 2025.

These higher-volume model years tend to be the most popular because they give you more inventory to compare, more pricing spread to work with, and a better chance of finding the right trim and condition. They also tend to attract shoppers who want newer features without moving all the way to the newest model year.

What is the Nissan Pathfinder's resale value?

Most Pathfinder model years are showing double-digit year-over-year price declines, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The newer years are also falling, but by a slightly smaller margin than many older ones, so recent models still command stronger prices. Overall, the table points to broad softening across the lineup rather than a single isolated drop.

The 2014, 2024, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Nissan Pathfinder safe?

• 2026: 8/10
• 2025: 9/10
• 2023: 9/10
• 2022: 9/10

Standard driver aids include forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, rear emergency braking, blind-spot monitors, lane-departure warning, and active assists for the lane keeping and blind spot systems (Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention and Intelligent Lane Intervention).

For the safest used buy, the 2022, 2023 and 2025 models all post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.

Should I buy a used Nissan Pathfinder now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −11.4% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −10.44%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 39.2% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 38.2%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2023 model has the most listings at a current average price of $38,108 CAD. The Nissan Pathfinder offers a spacious, family-friendly cabin that makes it easy to live with every day.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 continues with 284 horsepower and 259 pound-feet of torque, or 295 hp and 270 lb-ft in the Rock Creek with premium fuel, and fuel economy reaches 11.8 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 9.6 highway, and 10.8 combined for Platinum models.
• Tech: Every Pathfinder gets Nissan's latest infotainment software on a wider 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Qi2 wireless device charging.
• Safety: Invisible Hood View is newly standard in Canada, and Front Wide View adds a 180-degree front camera view.
• Starting price: In Canada, the 2026 Nissan Pathfinder starts at $58,197 CAD for the Rock Creek trim.

If you're buying used today, the 2023 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
