The Mitsubishi Outlander’s current nationwide average price is $28,597 CAD, and its lowest point over the past year was $26,306 CAD. Recently, prices have come down for the 2023, 2024, and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

The main trade-offs are modest performance, especially from the four-cylinder engine, a CVT that can feel busy under acceleration, and a third row that works best for smaller passengers.

What should I look for when buying a used Mitsubishi Outlander?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Mitsubishi’s Super All-wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system
• Infotainment: a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Which Mitsubishi Outlander trim should I buy?

The 2025 Mitsubishi Outlander offers these trims:

• ES: Standard S-AWC all-wheel drive and the core Outlander setup for shoppers who want the entry point into the lineup.
• SE: Adds more equipment while staying close to the value end of the range for buyers who want a well-rounded step up.
• LE: Adds adaptive cruise control, making it a smart choice if you want more driver-assistance tech.
• SEL: A mid-to-upper trim that builds on the lineup with more comfort and convenience features.
• GT: Adds lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, front parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control with stop and go capability.
• GT Premium: The best-equipped trim, with quilted leather seats, soft-touch surfaces, a 12-speaker, 1,650-watt Yamaha sound system, a rear camera mirror, and a head-up display.

What Mitsubishi Outlander do most buyers choose?

The Mitsubishi Outlander years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be the easiest to shop because you get more inventory to compare, which can make it simpler to find the right trim, colour, and price. They also usually attract the broadest mix of buyers, so you’ll often see more examples in the market at any given time.

What is the Mitsubishi Outlander's resale value?

Most model years in the Outlander lineup are showing double-digit price declines, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The pattern suggests that buyers can find meaningful savings across a wide spread of years, especially on recent models that have already moved down from their original pricing.

The 2024, 2018, and 2014 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Mitsubishi Outlander safe?

• 2025: 7/10
• 2022: 8/10

For the safest used buy, the 2022 model posts the highest confirmed score of 8/10.

• Powertrain/efficiency: The latest gas model uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque, and it is paired with a CVT.
• Tech: Every Outlander gets a 12.3-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a wireless charging pad.
