What should I look for when buying a used Lexus RX?
Key things to evaluate:
- Fuel efficiency: The 2024 Lexus RX is offered in four distinct models, starting with the base RX 350. It's powered by a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. In Canada—where the RX is built at Toyota’s Cambridge, Ontario, assembly plant—all-wheel drive (AWD) is standard on all models.

- RX 350h: This hybrid adds the 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid setup with 246 hp and 233 lb-ft of torque through a CVT, and it stands out for buyers who want the best-value efficiency-focused choice.
- RX 500h F Sport Performance: This performance-oriented model adds the turbo 2.4-litre inline-four hybrid powertrain with 366 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque plus a six-speed automatic transmission.

It's powered by a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. These include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, a rear passenger safe-exit system, and parking proximity sensors.

Reviewed a 2024 Lexus RX on Aug 9, 2024
Was not expecting to buy this car. Had pretty well made up my mind on another brand in the same class .Had bought that brand before. A test drive of the RX done out of curiosity before finalizing the other purchase ,coupled with a detailed comparison unexpectedly changed my mind and I never went back to the other brand. Love this car. The style, the performance ,the price and the safety features does it all for me.
