Is the Hyundai Palisade a good car?
Yes — the Hyundai Palisade is a strong choice if you want a roomy, comfortable, and well-equipped three-row SUV with broad family appeal. The all-generations owner rating is 4.78/5 across every model year in the data.
Owners consistently praise the Palisade for its spacious cabin, comfortable ride, and impressive technology. Value for money is another recurring theme, especially for shoppers who want a premium-feeling family SUV without moving into a luxury badge.

The main trade-offs are fuel economy, which trails some rivals, and some higher-trim expectations around power and feature content. For used buyers, that means the Palisade makes the most sense if you prioritise comfort, space, and a polished interior over maximum efficiency.
29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

What should I look for when buying a used Hyundai Palisade?
Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, lane following assist, driver attention monitoring, safe exit assist, and front and rear parking sensors are all standard.
- Infotainment: A second 12.3-inch colour touchscreen serves as the infotainment system hub, with onboard navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
- Fuel efficiency: Most gas-only Palisade models have a Natural Resources Canada-estimated fuel economy of 12.2 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 9.7 on the highway, and 11.1 combined. Choose the XRT Pro trim and those figures rise to 14.3 L/100 km city, 10.6 highway, and 12.7 combined. With the hybrid trim, fuel consumption is rated at 8.3 L/100 km city, 7.9 highway, and 8.1 combined.
Which Hyundai Palisade trim should I buy?
The 2026 Hyundai Palisade offers these trims:
- Preferred Trend: The entry trim starts the lineup with the standard 3.5-litre V6, eight-speed automatic, standard AWD in Canada, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, onboard navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and an in-car intercom. It suits you if you want the core Palisade experience and the best value.
- Luxury: This trim adds the hybrid powertrain as standard, along with the upscale equipment and comfort-focused character that make it a strong step up for families who want more efficiency and a richer feature set.
- XRT Pro: This trim adds chunky all-terrain tyres, 21.2 centimetres of ground clearance, improved approach and departure angles, a standard electronic limited-slip rear differential, recovery hooks front and rear, side parking sensors, reverse automatic braking, a surround-view monitor, and a factory-installed tow hitch. It suits you if you want the most rugged version.
- Ultimate Calligraphy: This trim adds the 12-inch colour head-up display, integrated front and rear dashcams, evasive steering assist, Highway Driving Assist II, and the most upscale interior finish. It is the best choice if you want the most luxurious and fully featured Palisade.
What Hyundai Palisade do most buyers choose?
The Hyundai Palisade years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

| 2021 | 253 | 31.6% |

Loaded with features you don’t even get on more expensive luxury SUV’s Plus the safety features, all included. The warranty is best in the business. I bought the Calligraphy night edition in Black. I wanted a SUV that was comfortable to drive on our weekend trips to visit kids in Wisconsin and St Louis. And has the room to drive them all around when we get there. Plenty of room for the grandkids. This checked all the boxes! Love it. We test drove the Kia Telluride and the Palisade is the more comfy ride. Telluride is more rugged. Don’t think you can go wrong with either.

Impressive features, heated/ventilated seats. Heads up display with blind spot cameras when using turn signals. Backup camera is great with a drone view that I am still trying to figure out how it operates but it is very accurate. This was a Limited package I can't think of much more that you could want.
