What should I look for when buying a used Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: The 2024 Trailblazer is estimated to return 7.8 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 7.7 on the highway, and 7.8 in combined driving; the upgraded turbo engine with AWD should achieve 8.1 L/100 km city, 7.2 highway, and 7.7 combined.
• Infotainment: The Trailblazer's new 11-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard on all trim levels, and Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are both standard.
• Safety package: All Trailblazers come standard with frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning.

Which Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer offers these trims:

• LS: The entry trim starts the lineup and gives you the Trailblazer's core small-SUV package at the lowest price.
• LT: This is the best-value trim because it adds the more powerful 1.3-litre turbo engine for a small price increase, and it is the one to target if you want the strongest balance of value and everyday usability.
• Activ: This trim adds the more powerful turbo engine, all-wheel drive, and some off-road capabilities.
• RS: This top trim also pairs the more powerful turbo engine with all-wheel drive and brings the most upscale, sporty presentation in the lineup.

What Chevrolet Trailblazer do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Trailblazer years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to draw the most attention because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right colour, trim, and price. They also tend to be the easiest years to shop when you want a broad mix of listings and deal opportunities.

What is the Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

The Trailblazer's used prices are down across every model year shown, which is encouraging if you're shopping for value. The largest drops are in the double digits, so recent-model buyers may find more room to negotiate than they would in a steadier market. Even so, the spread between years remains fairly orderly, which helps you compare value by age and equipment level.

The 2024, 2022, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

• 2024: 6/10
• 2023: 9/10
• 2022: 9/10
• 2021: 7/10

All Trailblazers come standard with frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning.

For the safest used buy, the 2022 and 2023 models both post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.

Should I buy a used Chevrolet Trailblazer now or wait for the next model?

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The 2024 Trailblazer is available with a turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine that produces 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, while the upgraded turbocharged 1.3-litre three-cylinder increases output to 155 hp and 174 lb-ft of torque.
