Overall, the Beetle offers a unique charm and driving experience that many find worthwhile.
Are Volkswagen Beetles cheap to maintain?
The Volkswagen Beetle has a slightly higher-than-average annual repair cost than typical compact cars. While not the cheapest to maintain, the Beetle's maintenance costs are still reasonable and comparable to other vehicles in its class.
What are the bad years for the VW Beetle?

Overall, the Volkswagen Beetle has been cherished by owners for its fun driving experience, unique and stylish design, and good fuel economy across various model years. Many drivers appreciate its spacious interiors, particularly in convertible models, and solid performance. However, common criticisms include a lack of modern features, limited trunk space, and occasional reliability issues, especially in older models. While praised for their charm, some drivers mention high maintenance costs and variable performance. Car is in great shape for its age and had been well kept. I don't think the price fits the year. It's a bit expensive for the condition
