CarGurus recommends the 2022 RAM 3500
Summary
With 30 currently listed for sale and an average price of $60,397 CAD, 46.7% of 2022 RAM 3500 listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favourably reviewed: Owners rated the 2022 RAM 3500 4.9 / 5 stars.
Why it stands out
The 2022 RAM 3500 stands out as a heavy-duty truck that blends serious capability with a more upscale, daily-driver feel. By this generation, the Ram 3500 had moved well beyond its work-truck roots, with a strong emphasis on luxury and technology. It also brought a more aerodynamic design, LED lighting, a stronger frame, new suspension, and a new transmission for the Hemi models. For buyers who need a truck that can do real work, its towing and payload numbers are a major draw: it can tow more than 15,875 kilograms and carry almost 3,600 kilograms of payload.
Inside, the 2022 RAM 3500 benefits from the same broad push toward comfort and convenience. Available features include a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control, a 12-inch vertical infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 750-watt Harman Kardon 17-speaker audio system. The RamBox also adds a 115-volt outlet with up to 400 watts of power, which reinforces the truck’s practical side. The cabin’s upgraded materials and luxury amenities help make it feel more refined than a traditional heavy-duty pickup.
There are still trade-offs, though. The truck’s gargantuan proportions can be difficult to manage in towns and cities, and the diesel engine is noisy. Some owners also report mixed feelings about transmission reliability. Even so, the 2022 RAM 3500 remains appealing for shoppers who want class-leading capability, a spacious interior, and a long list of features in a truck built to handle demanding towing and hauling jobs.
