Used Porsche Cars for Sale near Stratford, QC

As most folks would agree the car was fun to drive and cornered flat. OTOH I was rear ended not once, not twice BUT THREE TIMES during four years of ownership...............but I will say its one of a few cars that I later sold for essentially what i paid for it. (The others were a Corvette and an RX-7)

The car was built in September of 1973 and originally sold in Erie, PA at the now out-of- business Presque Isle Porsche in January of 1974. It has remained in the city throughout its life. The car has been nearly fully restored over the course of the last several years and has had a few upgrades. Handles like a Dream, and most fun to work on! This thing eats corners for breakfast. The engine can be pulled in about an hour, and lots of aftermarket parts and upgrades are available (has a great enthusiast's support network). But, it's a money pit as far as maintenance goes. The engine parts are standard VW (unless you have the Porsche 6-cyl.), so that stuff is cheap, but everything else is vintage porsche!

Pros: Good looks, great cornering, good braking, easy to fix, good handling. Good suspension and balance. Cons: Underpowered to be a Porsche. Too flexible chassis, Rust is a 4 letter word for it. Some cheap VW terminations, as wheels and engine.

When I got the car it was a beautiful car, with nice seats, and it came with an authentic car manual, and the guy knew a place called Auto Atlanta and the car also came with a huge catalog with options that Porsche no longer sold. The car is quick, and usually turns heads, and the manual transmission had never bogged down on me. High RPM, and I love the original 1970's Porsche steering wheel. It is very customizable, and you can do a lot of things with the car. But, because it was old, had some problems. The gas gauge was broken, and I only had a small light to tell me I had a few miles left. I remember something coming off of the car, but it was not anything important, and was easily fixed. Also the battery and gas tank had a problem. And the car has no air bags. Some more Pro's though were the suspension that is mildly hard for racing, but not to hard that it'll break your back. The stereo is good, but nothing like subwoofer's breaking the cars front window or anything (which I'm glad). The heating and Air con is very nice, and the heating is very good, it heats up the car quickly. And once I got all the problems fixed, I found the gas mileage was as good as a Volvo XC90. The car is also very fun! GREAT CAR!!!
