Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: The 2025 Murano is rated for 10.6 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 8.6 on the highway, and 9.7 combined.
• Infotainment: Wireless charging and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with a monolith-style display that pairs two 12.3-inch screens in a single housing.
• Safety package: Nissan Safety Shield 360, plus ProPILOT Assist on the 2025 model; SL and Platinum trims add ProPILOT Assist 1.1, a 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor, and Transparent Hood View.

Which Nissan Murano trim should I buy?

The 2025 Nissan Murano offers these trims:

• SV: This is the entry point and brings the standard 12.3-inch dual-screen display setup, wireless smartphone integration, wireless charging, and the core Murano comfort-and-tech package.
• SL: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers, adding Google Built-In, a 10-speaker Bose Premium Series audio system, 64-colour ambient lighting, the glass-effect dash treatment, ProPILOT Assist 1.1, a 3D Intelligent Around View Monitor, and Transparent Hood View.
• Platinum: This top trim adds a head-up display, 21-inch wheels, and the most upscale equipment in the lineup.

What Nissan Murano do most buyers choose?

The Nissan Murano years with the most listings are 2020, 2018, and 2019.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they offer a broad mix of price, equipment, and availability. They also give you more choice when you want to compare trims, mileage, and condition side by side.

What is the Nissan Murano's resale value?

Most Murano model years are showing lower prices than a year ago, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The biggest drops are concentrated in older generations, while newer models are also easing but by smaller percentages. That gives you more room to find value across a wide spread of years.

The 2022, 2024, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Nissan Murano safe?

• 2025: 8/10

For the safest used buy, the 2025 model posts the highest confirmed score of 8/10.

Should I buy a used Nissan Murano now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −11.94% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −5.63%.
• Deal availability: The 2024 model has 34.3% good and great deals.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2020 model has the most listings at a current average price of $22,438 CAD. The Nissan Murano offers a comfortable ride and a premium-feeling cabin that make it easy to live with every day.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The new Murano gets a new powertrain: a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine — known as VC-Turbo, referring to Nissan’s variable compression ratio system — paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It’s rated for 241 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque.
• Tech: Wireless charging and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are all standard, and the SL trim adds Google Built-In, making Google Maps native and also introducing the voice-activated Google Assistant capability.
• Safety: The fourth-gen model comes standard with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced driver assistance features, and the SL and Platinum trims get ProPILOT Assist 1.1, a more advanced version that also uses navigation data to anticipate curves and adjust the vehicle’s speed accordingly.
• Starting price: The 2025 Nissan Murano SV starts at $49,631 CAD in Canada.

If you're buying used today, the 2020 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
