What should I look for when buying a used Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Driver Assistance Package with adaptive cruise control, lane keep and centring assist, evasive steering assist, front cross-traffic braking assist, and Active Emergency Stop Assist.
• Infotainment: MBUX infotainment system with a 12.3-inch digital driver display and a 12.3-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Which Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2026 Mercedes-Benz GLE offers these trims:

• GLE 350: The least-expensive model, with standard AWD and a turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
• GLE 450: A strong all-round choice with a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine, mild-hybrid technology, and a well-finished cabin.
• GLE 450e: The plug-in hybrid option, with estimated electric-only driving range and added efficiency for daily use.
• AMG GLE 63 S Coupe: The performance flagship, with a hand-built twin-turbo V8 engine and the most serious straight-line pace in the range.

What Mercedes-Benz GLE do most buyers choose?

The Mercedes-Benz GLE years with the most listings are 2023, 2025, and 2022.

Higher-volume years tend to be the easiest places to shop because they give you more listings to compare and more chances to find the right trim, colour, and equipment mix. They also tend to attract more deal-priced inventory, which can help you narrow in on value.

What is the Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down year over year, which is good news if you are shopping used because it creates more room for value. The largest drops are concentrated in the newer and mid-cycle years, while a few older examples are changing more slowly. That mix suggests the GLE is broadly softening in price, but some years are still holding closer to their prior values than others.

The 2019, 2016, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

• 2026: 8/10
• 2025: 8/10
• 2023: 8/10
• 2022: 10/10
• 2021: 10/10

The 2026 GLE includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, a safe exit assist system, automatic high-beam headlights, and Pre-Safe Sound as standard equipment.

For the safest used buy, the 2021 and 2022 models both post the highest confirmed score of 10/10.
