Which Lexus NX trim should I buy?

• NX 350: The entry point in the lineup, with the turbocharged 2.4-litre engine, standard all-wheel drive, and the core NX design and safety package.
• NX 350h: The best-value trim for many buyers, adding the hybrid powertrain and stronger fuel efficiency while keeping the NX’s premium feel and standard safety equipment.

• Luxury: A step up for buyers who want a more upscale equipment mix and a more premium cabin experience.
• Ultra Luxury: A higher-end trim for shoppers who want more comfort and convenience equipment.

What Lexus NX do most buyers choose?

The Lexus NX years with the most listings are 2025, 2026, and 2024.

These higher-volume years tend to be the most popular used picks because they give you more inventory to compare and more chances to find the right colour, trim, and equipment mix. They also sit close enough to the current generation to deliver the NX’s modern styling, tech, and safety features.

What is the Lexus NX's resale value?

Most Lexus NX model years are down year over year, and several recent years show double-digit declines. That creates more room for used buyers to find value, especially if you are shopping newer examples that have already moved off their initial pricing peaks.

The 2023 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.

The 2023, 2026, and 2021 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Lexus NX safe?

• 2026: 8/10
• 2022: 10/10

The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and Safe Exit Assist.

Should I buy a used Lexus NX now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −13.31% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −12.81%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 28.7% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 29.1%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $50,179 CAD. The Lexus NX offers a distinctive design and a premium-feeling cabin that help it stand out in the compact luxury SUV class.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Lexus offers a variety of powertrain options in the NX, which is good because the standard hardware in our NX 350 F Sport 3 test car does not impress. The NX 350 uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine generating 275 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, which is supplied to a standard all-wheel drive (AWD) system via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
• Tech: All 2026 Lexus NX models come standard with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto connectivity, and six USB ports, while a 14-inch display is standard when you equip any package.
• Safety: The standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane centring assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition, and Safe Exit Assist.
• Starting price: The cheapest 2026 Lexus NX model in Canada is the base NX 350, which starts at $58,224 CAD including the mandatory destination charge and other fees.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
