Which Kia Sorento trim should I buy?

• EX: This trim steps up to the turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder and adds more of the Sorento’s stronger performance and premium feel.
• X-Line: This trim adds a rugged appearance, panoramic sunroof, and Highway Driving Assist, and it suits buyers who want a more upscale look with added driver-assist tech.

What Kia Sorento do most buyers choose?

The Kia Sorento years with the most listings are 2020, 2019, and 2018.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they offer a strong mix of price, equipment, and everyday practicality. They also give shoppers more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim and condition.

What is the Kia Sorento's resale value?

Most Sorento model years are showing double-digit year-over-year price declines, which is helpful if you are shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The newer model years are also trending down, so recent inventory may offer better value than it did a year ago. A few years are falling less sharply than others, but the overall pattern still favours used buyers.

The 2015, 2021, and 2024 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Kia Sorento safe?

• 2025: 8/10
• 2024: 9/10
• 2022: 9/10

Highway Driving Assist is standard on X-Line, and X-Line Limited and X-Pro trims add lane-changing functionality to create Highway Driving Assist 2.

For the safest used buy, the 2022 and 2024 models both post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.
