What Jeep Wrangler do most buyers choose?

The Jeep Wrangler years with the most listings are 2024, 2022, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they offer a broad mix of availability, pricing, and newer features. More listings also give you a better chance of finding the right trim, colour, and equipment combination.

What is the Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

Most model years show double-digit year-over-year price declines, which can create better opportunities for used buyers. The steepest drops are concentrated in older and newer recent-model years alike, while a few years have fallen by a smaller amount and may be relatively firmer in the market.

The 2015, 2022, and 2020 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Jeep Wrangler safe?

• 2026: 3/10
• 2025: 4/10
• 2024: 5/10
• 2023: 6/10
• 2022: 2/10

For the safest used buy, the 2023 model posts the highest confirmed score of 6/10.

Should I buy a used Jeep Wrangler now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −11.81% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −15.23%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 32.6% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 34.1%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $45,310 CAD. The Jeep Wrangler offers a distinctive open-air, highly customisable character that few SUVs can match.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The latest Wrangler offers a Pentastar 3.6-litre V6, a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo, and a 6.4-litre Hemi V8, with an eight-speed automatic transmission on most models and a six-speed manual available with the V6.
• Tech: The latest Wrangler includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a two-year free trial of the Trails Offroad app.
• Safety: The latest Wrangler adds adaptive cruise control on the Sport S trim and makes blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and high beam assist standard on the Rubicon X trim.
• Starting price: The base two-door Sport model was priced at $43,895 CAD with destination and without options.

If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
