What should I look for when buying a used Jeep Wrangler?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and high beam assist.
• Infotainment: A 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Which Jeep Wrangler trim should I buy?

The 2026 Jeep Wrangler offers these trims:

• Sport: The entry trim focuses on the Wrangler's core off-road character and is the starting point for the lineup.
• Sport S: This trim adds adaptive cruise control and is a strong value pick if you want more everyday convenience.
• Willys: The Willys trim adds a more distinctive appearance and sits above the Sport S in the range.
• Rubicon: The Rubicon adds more trail-focused capability and is one of the best-known Wrangler trims.
• Rubicon X: This trim adds the most advanced safety content in the lineup, including standard blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and high beam assist.
• Willys ’41: This special edition adds unique styling details and four-door body style availability.
• 85th Anniversary Edition: This four-door-only edition adds commemorative styling and sits among the more distinctive versions.

What Jeep Wrangler do most buyers choose?

The Jeep Wrangler years with the most listings are 2024, 2022, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right trim, colour, and price. They also line up with recent model years that many shoppers prefer for their mix of modern features and familiar Wrangler character.

What is the Jeep Wrangler's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down year over year, which is good news if you're shopping used because it points to softer pricing across the range. The declines are mostly double-digit, so the movement is meaningful rather than slight, and that can create better entry points for buyers. A few older years show smaller drops, which suggests some versions are holding value a bit better than others.

The 2015, 2014, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Jeep Wrangler safe?

• 2026: 3/10
• 2025: 4/10
• 2024: 5/10
• 2023: 6/10
• 2022: 2/10

For the safest used buy, the 2023 model posts the highest confirmed score of 6/10.
