Which Honda Passport trim should I buy?

• TrailSport Blackout: This version adds a darker appearance treatment to the TrailSport formula, making it a good fit if you want the same capability with a more distinctive look.

What Honda Passport do most buyers choose?

The Honda Passport years with the most listings are 2025, 2022, and 2026.

These higher-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a strong mix of availability, familiar equipment, and pricing that still leaves room for value. More listings also give you a better chance of finding the colour, trim, and condition you want.

What is the Honda Passport's resale value?

Most Passport model years are down year over year, which can work in your favour if you're shopping used. The larger drops are concentrated in the older and mid-cycle years, while the newest model is changing more gradually. That pattern gives buyers a wider range of price points to consider.

The 2026, 2021, and 2020 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Honda Passport safe?

• 2026: 7/10
• 2024: 7/10
• 2022: 4/10

Honda equips every 2026 Passport with Honda Safety Sense, including automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

For the safest used buy, the 2024 and 2026 models both post the highest confirmed score of 7/10.

Should I buy a used Honda Passport now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2026 model is at −5.23% versus a year ago, and the 2025 model is at −11.16%.
• Deal availability: The 2026 model has 31.9% good and great deals, and the 2025 model has 30%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $48,099 CAD. The Honda Passport offers a roomy cabin and generous cargo space that make it especially practical for family use and weekend gear.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: The latest Passport uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-litre V6 with 285 hp and 262 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.
• Tech: The latest Passport adds a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and a standard wireless phone charger.
• Safety: The latest Passport adds Honda Safety Sense with traffic-jam assist, traffic-sign recognition, and low-speed braking control.
• Starting price: The latest Passport's base price is $60,126 CAD before fees.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
