What should I look for when buying a used Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Honda Sensing, including adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, lane-centring assist, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
• Infotainment: a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, text-messaging support, and HondaLink connected services.
• Fuel efficiency: According to Natural Resources Canada, the Accord EX should return 7.3 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord offers these trims:

• EX: The base gas-only trim in Canada, with a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, a 7-inch touchscreen, digital instrumentation, cloth seats, and a well-finished cabin; it suits buyers who want the Accord’s core strengths in a straightforward package.
• Sport Hybrid: The best-value pick, adding hybrid power, quicker acceleration, upgraded fabric upholstery, and a better infotainment system.

What Honda Accord do most buyers choose?

The Honda Accord years with the most listings are 2018, 2019, and 2017.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a strong mix of availability, value, and the Accord’s core strengths in space, comfort, and everyday usability. More listings also make it easier to compare condition, mileage, and pricing across multiple examples.

What is the Honda Accord's resale value?

Most Accord model years are showing clear year-over-year price declines, which is good news if you are shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The steepest drops are in the double digits for many years, while a few older and mid-cycle models are falling more slowly. That pattern suggests the Accord remains in demand, but current pricing is still moving in buyers' favour.

The 2015, 2022, and 2018 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
