Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: According to Natural Resources Canada, the Accord EX should return 7.3 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord offers these trims:

• EX: The base gas-only trim in Canada, with a turbocharged 1.5-litre engine, a 7-inch touchscreen, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Honda Sensing; it suits buyers who want the Accord’s core strengths in a straightforward package.
• Sport Hybrid: Adds the hybrid powertrain, quicker acceleration, upgraded fabric upholstery, and a better infotainment system; this is the best-value trim for shoppers who want more efficiency and extra equipment.
• Touring Hybrid: Brings the hybrid setup with the most upscale equipment in the lineup, including Google Built-in with Google Assistant and Google Maps, and it suits buyers who want the most advanced tech and the most premium feel.

What Honda Accord do most buyers choose?

The Honda Accord years with the most listings are 2019, 2018, and 2020.

These higher-volume years tend to be popular because they give you a strong mix of availability, familiar equipment, and pricing that often lands in a sweet spot for used shoppers. More listings also make it easier to compare trims and find the right condition and deal.

What is the Honda Accord's resale value?

Most Accord model years are down year over year, and several recent ones show double-digit declines. That pattern can work in your favour if you’re shopping used, since it opens up more value on newer examples. A few older years have smaller drops, which suggests they have been holding value better than the rest of the lineup.

The 2014, 2016, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Every 2023 Accord has Honda Sensing, a collection of advanced driving assistance systems that includes adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, traffic-jam assist, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and lane-centring assist.

For the safest used buy, the 2021 and 2023 models both post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.

• Sweet-spot year: The 2019 model has the most listings at a current average price of $20,387 CAD. The Honda Accord offers a roomy cabin, a smooth ride, and a polished everyday driving experience that make it easy to live with.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: Honda equips the 2023 Accord EX with a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine making 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, and the Accord EX should return 7.3 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.
