What should I look for when buying a used Honda Accord?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: According to Natural Resources Canada, the Accord EX should return 7.3 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving.

Which Honda Accord trim should I buy?

The 2023 Honda Accord offers these trims:

• EX: The base gas-only trim in Canada, with a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, a 7-inch touchscreen, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Honda Sensing.
• Sport Hybrid: The best-value trim for many shoppers, adding hybrid power, quicker acceleration, upgraded fabric upholstery, and a better infotainment system.
• Touring Hybrid: The top hybrid trim, adding the most upscale equipment in the 2023 lineup and standard hybrid power.

What Honda Accord do most buyers choose?

The Honda Accord years with the most listings are 2018, 2019, and 2017.

Those higher-volume years tend to be popular because they offer a strong mix of availability, value, and the Accord’s core strengths in space, comfort, and everyday usability. More listings also give you a better chance of finding the colour, trim, and condition you want.

What is the Honda Accord's resale value?

Most Accord model years are down year over year, and several recent ones have seen double-digit drops. That pattern can work in your favour if you are shopping used, since it opens up more value on newer examples. A few years have declined less sharply, which suggests some trims and model years are retaining value better than others.

The 2022, 2017, and 2015 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
