What should I look for when buying a used Dodge Durango?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: 11.9 L/100 km combined for V6 models, 14.3 litres per 100 kilometres combined for the 5.7-litre Hemi V8, and 17.4 L/100 km combined for the SRT Hellcat Jailbreak.
• Infotainment: a 10.1-inch touchscreen running Uconnect 5 with navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, over-the-air (OTA) updates for the infotainment, and wireless Apple CarPlay.

Which Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2026 Dodge Durango offers these trims:

• SXT: The entry trim starts the lineup and gives you the Durango’s core three-row setup with the standard 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, standard AWD, and the base safety equipment. It suits you if you want the most affordable way into the model.
• GT: This trim adds a step up in equipment while keeping the Durango’s standard AWD, touchscreen tech, and broad family-hauling character. It is a sensible middle-ground choice.
• GT Plus: This is the best-value trim if you want more equipment, including lane departure warning and a nine-speaker Alpine stereo, while staying below the performance-focused versions.
• GT Premium Hemi V8: This trim adds the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 for stronger towing and acceleration, along with the Durango’s signature V8 character.
• SRT Hellcat Jailbreak: This top performance trim adds the supercharged 6.2-litre V8, huge Brembo brakes, sport suspension, and performance-focused infotainment functions such as launch control and a custom driving mode.

What Dodge Durango do most buyers choose?

The Dodge Durango years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2023.

These higher-volume years tend to attract more shoppers because they offer a strong mix of newer features, broader availability, and plenty of choice across trims and prices. When more listings are on the market, it is usually easier for you to compare condition, equipment, and value.

What is the Dodge Durango's resale value?

Most model years in the table are down year over year, which creates more room for used buyers to find value. A few older years are moving up, showing that some Durango variants continue to hold demand well. Overall, the pattern favours shoppers looking for a three-row SUV with a softer used-market entry point.

The 2015, 2016, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Should I buy a used Dodge Durango now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −19.46% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −13.97%.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: In Canada, the 2026 Durango was originally available with Dodge’s 5.7-litre Hemi V8, but this powertrain is no longer listed on the Dodge Canada website as of this writing, while most trims can now only be ordered with the V6 engine for this model year.
• Tech: Every Durango comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen running Uconnect 5, which features navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM 360L satellite radio, over-the-air (OTA) updates for the infotainment, and wireless Apple CarPlay.
• Safety: Blind-spot monitoring, forward collision warning, and rear parking sensors are standard on the three base trims, while lane departure warning is standard only on the GT Plus.
• Starting price: In Canada, the 2026 Dodge Durango starts at $62,790 CAD for the base SXT trim including a $2,195 destination charge.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
