What should I look for when buying a used Dodge Challenger?

Key things to evaluate:

• Fuel efficiency: Quaffing premium gas at a rate of up to 15.4 litres per 100 kilometres in combined driving, according to Natural Resources Canada, a Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye costs plenty of money to buy and to keep on the road. Unexpectedly, we averaged 15 L/100 km even on our testing loop. At that rate, you burn through a 70-litre fuel tank in about 465 kilometres.

• GT: Adds all-wheel drive with the Pentastar V6 engine, giving you a more versatile setup for year-round use.
• Black Ghost: The most exclusive and expensive trim named in the data, based on the SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody and fitted with luxury touches, retro detailing, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system.
