What should I look for when buying a used Chevrolet Trailblazer?

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning; the optional Confidence package adds a blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert and rear parking proximity sensors.
• Infotainment: an 11-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus an optional wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: 7.8 litres per 100 kilometres in the city, 7.7 on the highway, and 7.8 in combined driving for the base engine with front-wheel drive; 8.1 L/100 km city, 7.2 highway, and 7.7 combined for the upgraded turbo engine with AWD.

Which Chevrolet Trailblazer trim should I buy?

The 2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer offers these trims:

• LS: the entry point, with the Trailblazer's core features and the base 1.2-litre turbo engine; a good fit if you want the lowest starting price.
• LT: the best-value choice, since it adds the more powerful 1.3-litre turbo engine for a relatively small price increase.
• Activ: adds AWD and a more rugged-leaning setup, along with the stronger 1.3-litre engine.
• RS: the top Trailblazer model, also priced with AWD, for shoppers who want the most upscale appearance in the lineup.

What Chevrolet Trailblazer do most buyers choose?

The Chevrolet Trailblazer years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.

The highest-volume years tend to be the easiest to shop because you usually get more choice in trims, colours, and pricing. They also often attract the broadest mix of sellers, which can help you compare listings more efficiently.

What is the Chevrolet Trailblazer's resale value?

Prices are down across every model year shown, and the declines are all in double digits. That pattern is favourable for used buyers because it creates more room to find value in recent-model Trailblazers. The spread also suggests that newer examples are adjusting downward at a pace that can make them more approachable than their original pricing might suggest.

The 2022, 2024, and 2023 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Chevrolet Trailblazer safe?

• 2024: 6/10
• 2023: 9/10
• 2022: 9/10
• 2021: 7/10

All Trailblazers come standard with frontal collision warning with automatic emergency braking and lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning.

For the safest used buy, the 2022 and 2023 models both post the highest confirmed score of 9/10.
