Used Buick Rendezvous for Sale near Nova Scotia
Buick Rendezvous Overview
The Rendezvous was introduced in 2002 and is Buick's first foray into the SUV market. Trying to be all things to all people, the Rendezvous is actually more of a crossover SUV in that it blends elements from Buick's luxury sedans with the storage capacity of a minivan and the sportiness of an SUV.
It is much more luxury and family-oriented, providing tons of storage compartments and power outlets, along with a low step-in height, and plenty of standard convenient features (OnStar, rear parking sensors), all at a lower cost than most of its competitors. Originally offered in front-wheel and all-wheel drive in base and luxury trims, the Buick Rendezvous featured two V6 engine options, rated at either 196-hp or 242-hp. Both the all-wheel drive and the stronger engine were dropped in 2007.
The Rendezvous handled more like a car, which appealed to parents, but it didn't lack for passenger and storage options. Standard with two rows of seats for five, a third row bench was optional, upping the passenger room to seven. Seats could be removed or folded down to increase the cargo capacity. Outside, a sloping rear roof line added a bit of distinctive styling to an otherwise standard SUV shape.
The blend of SUV height and versatility with the luxury comfort and ride quality of a sturdy sedan proved to be a successful combination for Buick. The Rendezvous has done well and spawned the mid-size truck-based Rainier a year later. Though sales helped reinvigorate the company, Buick is planning to replace its total SUV lineup, including the Rendezvous, with the 2008 Enclave.

The Buick Rendezvous is generally well-loved for its spacious interior, comfort, and decent gas mileage, making it a great choice for families and long trips. Owners appreciate features like the third-row seating and the smooth ride, especially in winter conditions thanks to its AWD capability. However, some drivers express concerns about underwhelming engine power and maintenance costs, with occasional build quality issues noted. Many feel it offers good value for money, though some have criticized the design and the need for repairs in older models.

What people say
This car is a very good value, however with any used model, there are some things that need tweaking, overall this is a vehicle I feel will serve me well, once we address a couple or so things. I am pleased I found this vehicle, it has been taken care of fairly well, especially compared to others Ive viewed. Very good class of vehicle compared to some other off brand suvs.
Pros. lots of room handles decent dont get pulled over in a man van Cons The 3.4L motor doesnt have the power to move this man van. the weight of the vehicle and small motor make gas mileage horrible. Some people call it a van... its a man van
Loved the Rendezvous, easy to drive, easy to see out of, lots of space and very comfortable. Very little maintenance required. Good quiet ride depending on the tires that you put on it. Price was affordable, no idea why they took it out of their lineup. Could possibly compare to the Equinox, however the Buick has more room and a much better ride.
As stated in the Cons, when traveling with a family of 6, it is tight. However, having the captains seating in the 2nd row makes getting in and out of the car very easy. The car handles great, is very comfortable ride and is easy of gas.
I liked the quick acceleration and how the car handled. It was fun to drive. Lots of good visibility. I especially like that you rode high, but didn't need running boards to get in the car. I'm always twisting my back or bumping my head trying to negotiate running boards. The seats could fold up for lots of cargo area or just take the out all together if you need more room for whatever reason. The cup-holders are logically placed in the front and back of the vehicle and lots of little storage compartments everywhere. No wasted space anywhere. Now, Where Can I find an Suv to replace mine?
