Is the Audi Q3 a good car?
Yes — the Audi Q3 is a strong pick if you want a compact luxury SUV with a comfortable ride, a premium-feeling cabin, and plenty of technology. The all-generations owner rating is 4.67/5 across every model year in the data.
Owners repeatedly praise the Q3 for its smooth driving experience, upscale interior, and all-wheel drive confidence. Across the model years, the most common positives centre on comfort, high-tech features, and a refined feel.
Expert reviews rate the 2026 model among the highest across all years.
The main trade-offs are a transmission that can feel less polished in everyday driving, performance that some reviewers describe as fairly pedestrian, and a cabin that prioritises style and technology over outright spaciousness.
30.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
Are Audi Q3 models reliable?
Owners consistently give the Audi Q3 strong marks for comfort, build quality, and the premium feel of the cabin. Expert commentary also points to a well-rounded package with standard all-wheel drive and a refined driving character.
- Owners rate the Audi Q3 between 4.0 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.
For used buyers, long-term ownership risk looks manageable if you choose a well-maintained example and pay attention to service history.
What should I look for when buying a used Audi Q3?
Key things to evaluate:
- Fuel efficiency: The 2026 Audi Q3 is rated by Natural Resources Canada at 9.6 litres per 100 kilometres combined (10.8 city, 8.1 highway).
Which Audi Q3 trim should I buy?
The 2026 Audi Q3 offers these trims:
- Komfort: The entry version is the value-focused choice, with leather seats, three-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof.
- Technik: This trim adds the 360-degree camera system, Adaptive Cruise Assist, OLED taillights, and the available head-up display, making it the best-value pick for shoppers who want the most advanced equipment.
What Audi Q3 do most buyers choose?
The Audi Q3 years with the most listings are 2024, 2025, and 2023.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 293 | 31.7% |
| 2025 | 264 | 29.9% |
| 2023 | 261 | 29.9% |
| 2022 | 220 | 28.6% |
| 2021 | 180 | 31.7% |
| 2026 | 178 | 29.2% |
These higher-volume model years tend to be popular because they give you more inventory to compare, which can make it easier to find the right colour, trim, and price. They also often sit close to the sweet spot between newer features and used-car value.
What is the Audi Q3's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2015 | $10,967 CAD | −24.09% |
| 2020 | $22,563 CAD | −20.38% |
| 2025 | $37,954 CAD | −19.99% |
| 2019 | $22,463 CAD | −18.24% |
| 2018 | $16,527 CAD | −17.64% |
| 2021 | $24,189 CAD | −15.64% |
| 2016 | $12,238 CAD | −15.15% |
| 2017 | $14,646 CAD | −14.31% |
| 2022 | $27,695 CAD | −12.98% |
| 2024 | $36,626 CAD | −11.62% |
| 2023 | $33,497 CAD | −11.32% |
The table shows broad downward movement across the model range, which is good news if you’re shopping used. The largest drops create more room for value, while the smaller declines on the newer years suggest stronger pricing on recent examples.
The 2023, 2024, and 2022 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Audi Q3 safe?
- 2026: 6/10
The 2026 Audi Q3 includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and Park Assist Plus. For the safest used buy, the 2026 model posts the highest confirmed score of 6/10.
Should I buy a used Audi Q3 now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −19.99% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −11.62%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 29.9% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 31.7%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $36,626 CAD. The Audi Q3 offers a premium-feeling cabin with a comfortable ride and a polished everyday character.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: The Q3 remains available only with a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but output increases to 255 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque — 27 hp and 22 lb-ft more than before.
- Tech: The current version of Audi’s Multimedia Interface (MMI) infotainment system is based on the Android Automotive OS, but it still includes standalone wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with USB-C ports in both rows.
- Safety: The list of standard driver-assist features covers the bases, encompassing adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
- Starting price: Pricing starts at $54,860 with the mandatory $3,060 destination charge.
If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

I test drove several cars. But I loved the way the audi handled and absolutely love all its i terror features and comfort. It is a used vehicle that was very well cared for and even though it had 50000 miles on it I am not concerned with it. I drive less than 10k a year so I will be fine also, it was a great price 25k. I did compare it to a used 2021 BMW x4 and the only difference is the Audi drove and handled a lot smoother. Honestly both vehicles are awesome what swayed my decision was really my preference in a vehicle. I highly recommend both but I absolutely love the Audi

The Audi Q3 is a great car. It’s not as roomy as a true SUV but it has most of the upgrades I was looking for: all wheel drive, digital dash board, touch screen, several different driving modes, sun roof. What it’s missing: the panels are plastic, passenger seat is manual, doesn’t have the wireless charging station, the camera isn’t as clear as I would like. The sports package for the Q3 Quattro is worth the upgrade.
