New & Used 2026 Volvo XC90 for Sale near Poole, ON

Is the 2026 Volvo XC90 a good car?

Yes — the 2026 Volvo XC90 is a good car if you want a luxury midsize SUV that combines Scandinavian design, family-friendly practicality, and a strong safety reputation. It is aimed at buyers who want three rows of seating without giving up a refined, premium feel, and its cabin is described as luxurious with top-quality materials and a vertical touchscreen infotainment system that includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The third row is said to comfortably accommodate people up to 5’7” tall, which adds to its everyday usefulness.

It also brings a broad powertrain range, including a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with 250 horsepower, a twincharged T6 with 316 horsepower, and a plug-in hybrid T8 with up to 400 horsepower. Standard all-wheel drive is included on Canadian second-generation XC90s, and the safety equipment list is extensive, with City Safety, Pilot Assist, and a 360-degree camera system among the highlights. For shoppers, the XC90’s appeal is its mix of comfort, technology, and versatility, plus the chance to get a luxury driving experience at a lower used price than many new alternatives.

The market signal is mixed but workable, with 20.2% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2026 Volvo XC90 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2026 Volvo XC90 is presented as a safety-focused, premium SUV with a strong reputation for comfort, technology, and practicality. Its appeal is built around a refined cabin, family-friendly packaging, and a broad set of standard and available safety technologies. At the same time, the model is not without drawbacks: base models are underpowered, maintenance costs can be high, and plug-in hybrid versions may be affected by premature battery wear and minor infotainment glitches.

For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about upkeep and powertrain complexity than about the XC90’s core appeal.

Should I buy a 2026 Volvo XC90 or consider a different year?

Choose the 2026 if:

• 20.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• It adds updated styling, materials, feature offerings, and ride-and-handling improvements.

If you are more price-sensitive, the 2025 is the better alternative to compare closely because it already brings meaningful refresh updates while preserving the XC90’s core strengths.
