New & Used 2026 Toyota Tacoma for Sale near Belmont, ON

Is the 2026 Toyota Tacoma a good car?

The 2026 Toyota Tacoma is a strong choice if you want a midsize pickup that blends Toyota’s durability reputation with a more modern design and better everyday usability. In Canada, it gets a totally new frame, a remade interior, and new engines, including the first-ever hybrid drivetrain offered in a Tacoma. The base 2.4-litre turbo four-cylinder is described as delivering power and speed similar to the old V6 but with better fuel economy, while the hybrid brings 326 horsepower and a combined fuel consumption of 10.0 L/100 km.

It is also well equipped for daily driving. You get a full-crew Double Cab as standard in Canada, along with an 8.0-inch screen, Toyota’s latest software, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto. Hybrid trucks add a larger 14-inch display, and wireless charging is available. Canada also gets a multi-link rear suspension, which should help with on-road comfort and off-road composure.

33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a useful signal that there are at least some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2026 Toyota Tacoma reliable?

The 2026 Toyota Tacoma builds on a long reputation for durability, and that remains one of its biggest strengths. Toyota’s redesign adds a new frame, updated powertrains, and a more modern cabin, but the core appeal is still the same: a truck that is meant to be dependable over the long haul while offering more refinement than older Tacomas.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this generation is still very new, so you should be especially careful about condition, maintenance history, and any early-production issues that may show up over time.

The bottom line: The 2026 Toyota Tacoma is the better pick if you want the newest version of Toyota’s redesigned midsize truck, especially if you value the updated cabin, modern tech, and hybrid availability. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may give you a similar Tacoma experience with a lower asking price, so it is worth comparing carefully before you commit.
