New & Used 2026 Subaru Crosstrek for Sale near New London, PE

Is the 2026 Subaru Crosstrek a good car?

The 2026 Subaru Crosstrek is a good fit if you want a simple, practical crossover with standard all-wheel drive, generous ground clearance, protective bodywork, and pedestal-style roof rails. Subaru’s four-cylinder boxer engine and continuously variable transmission keep the package straightforward, and that simplicity is part of the appeal if you want a small utility vehicle that feels well suited to daily use and winter driving.

For 2026, the Crosstrek also adds a hybrid powertrain based on a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, plus a next-generation 11.6-inch Subaru Starlink touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on most trims. Higher trims add more convenience features, while the Crosstrek Wilderness brings extra off-road hardware and 23.5 centimetres of ground clearance.

The main trade-off is that the base setup is not aimed at strong acceleration, and the Crosstrek is more about usefulness than flash. Even so, it remains appealing because it combines everyday practicality, all-weather confidence, and a useful mix of trim levels and equipment in a compact package. 36.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent amount of market choice.

Is the 2026 Subaru Crosstrek reliable?

The 2026 Subaru Crosstrek’s straightforward design is a strength if reliability matters to you. It uses a simple formula built around a four-cylinder boxer engine, a continuously variable transmission, and standard all-wheel drive, which helps keep the vehicle approachable rather than overly complicated.

That same simplicity is part of why it suits buyers who want a small crossover for daily use and winter driving without a lot of extra complexity. It is not the most technologically complex vehicle in its class, but that can be a benefit if you prefer a more conventional ownership experience.

For used buyers, the long-term ownership risk is generally tied more to wear-and-tear and maintenance history than to unusual complexity.
