New & Used 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid for Sale near New London, PE

Is the 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid a good car?

The 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid earns a 7.5/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Look and feel at 9/10.

It fits you well if you want a luxury crossover with a comfortable, tech-rich interior and strong overall refinement. The RX Hybrid also brings good fuel economy ratings for the class, and the hybrid system is a different take from the turbocharged six-cylinder setups many rivals use.

The trade-offs are clear: it is not as powerful or quick as most rivals, the ride is overly firm, and there is not much real sport to match the F Sport Performance name.

With 31.9% of listings priced as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid reliable?

The 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid is built around a hybrid powertrain that Lexus says works well together, with seamless hand-offs between electric and gas propulsion. It also comes with a conventional automatic transmission, which helps power delivery feel more natural than many hybrid setups.

Lexus also backs the RX Hybrid with a broad standard safety and convenience package, and the hybrid system’s fuel-economy advantage is a practical plus for long-term ownership. Even so, the real-world fuel economy can be harder to match than the official figures suggest, so your ownership costs may depend on how you drive.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that the RX Hybrid’s premium hardware and efficiency benefits may be less impressive if the vehicle has been driven hard or maintained inconsistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2026 Lexus RX Hybrid?

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The RX 500h F Sport Performance leans into style with 21-inch wheels, dark exterior trim, Dark Graphite or Rioja Red leather, a perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and aluminum pedals. The base setup still includes a pair of digital screens and soft-touch materials, so you should decide whether the sportier appearance and firmer tuning are worth the trade-offs.
• Powertrain: The RX 500h uses a turbocharged 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine with two electric motors for a combined 366 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. It uses a six-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, and Lexus says the system delivers decent power balanced by good but not great fuel economy.
• Safety package: Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection and intersection assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, high beam assist, traffic sign recognition, and emergency steering assist. Front and rear parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert are also standard.
• Infotainment: You get a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, a head-up display, and Lexus Intelligent Assist voice control. The system is quick to respond, but the steering wheel’s touch-sensitive controls can be distracting.
• Fuel efficiency: Natural Resources Canada rates it at 8.7 L/100 km in city driving, 8.4 L/100 km on the highway, and 8.6 L/100 km combined. In testing, it averaged 12.8 L/100 km over 200 kilometres of mixed and sometimes spirited driving.
